I'm so depressed with things that are going on in my life right now!

There is so much going on that is stressing me out, and making me depressed! First off, I can't find a job. Every place I call is not hiring, and the ones that are just keep giving me the run around! Then, my fiance is disabled, and is trying to get SSI-Disability, but they have denied him! He needs this SSI-Disibility check each month because he can't work, and we need money! We have no income! Also, he cannot get medicaid (insurance) without it! He needs to see doctors, and he needs medication, but with no income and no disability checks... we can't afford it! I just don't know what to do. We are trying so hard but nothing is happening. We just want to get a car, our own place, and settle down... but it's not going to happen with no money!

Hi Angelee, I do know this feeling about being unemployed and not able to find any work. Same with us here where my boyfriend also has been with very little work. The stress is very difficult to deal with and many times I just don't know what to do. Sadly I am not able to add some words of comfort, only to say that I really do wish things pick up soon for all of us.

Main reason I can't offer comfort as I am in the same boat and nothing really can change things until life itself makes the changes for us. Best of luck Angelee and I do hope that things do turn around for you both.

I understand, and yes you're absolutely right. Nothing can change until life itself makes the changes.

Really that is hard too. But have trust on God and He will give all you need.. He will not allow their children to starve for food and other basic needs. Just let try and try to get the chance or doin all the best as you can with prayer and you will see the result. Maybe those jobs you are getting is not fit for you. There are more chances to have and opportunity to wait for you. Try to think more and for sure there is one that is for you only. DOnt lose hope and give up.

I can certainly understand how you feel. The economy is certainly stressing a lot of people out, myself included. My husband graduated from university in 2010, and has been unable to find any kind of full-time work, despite all of his efforts and his constant looking for one. I graduated a few months ago, and am pregnant at the moment. We really are worried about work, money, and how we're going to manage to make it from month to month. It is frustrating and stressful. I can certainly relate.

Hi dodo19, Glad to know I am not alone with this. I think my depression and anxiety just makes everything worse. It makes me feel like everything is impossible, but in my mind, I still know that it's not impossible. It just seems that way.

I don't know anything about the finance side of things that you're talking about, but I do certainly know how horrible it is not to be able to get a job when you really need one. The thing is with me now, I've given up trying to find work off the internet and I am using my energies to find work online. If I'm being honest, that's working out amazingly for me. You might find at first that your wages aren't as high as you might expect from a normal job, but you then need to take into consideration the fact that you don't have to pay for travel as you're at home, and you don't have to pay for food while you're at work either. That saved m $20 per day so I ended up earning a lot more than I would have done if I'd stayed in a "normal" job.

Just calm down and think things through. All of us have problems so you also have to find a solution for all of these but not all at once. You have to solve these problems one by one.

I wouldn't know any other solution for you but it's your life, you can definitely find ways to improve your life. If you don't have any options, go make yourself one.

I would love to find solutions for my problems. However, I just don't know how. I feel like there is absolutely nothing I can do about what is going on. Like I have no control over what happens. How can I make money when the opportunities are not available? It's not like I am not trying... and I can't "make" them approve my fiance for disability. It's completely out of my control.

Thanks friend. I will definitely start a discussion on anything that improves in my situation, *IF* anything improves. I would love to stay positive, but it's really hard when you have depression and anxiety like me.

It is a pity to hear that you are having a very difficult life in your area. Although i can't help much but i hope my suggestion can helps you a bit. Why not, you try to check out whether is there any association that can give you some part time job that can be done from home. As for my area here, we do have the ladies group, where they are helping those needy by providing some kind of do at home job. Although the earning is not much but at least it can helps out a little. Hope you don't feel sad by your situation. Always keep your inner self going strong and i am sure you will be able to overcome your problem soon. Good luck to you...

I think a lot of people are getting stressed out at the moment, mostly to do with not having a job, or enough money.I feel sorry for the people that are trying so hard to find a job and either the hours are not enough or they have to do two part time jobs and then have to try to find child care for their children.A friend of mine had to have a few sales of the items in her house, just to be able to have a roof over her head for a few more months before she found another job, now that job has finished she has now got to sell family jewelry that was left to her in family.

I know it's hard but try to take it easy. Relax a little. Is there no possibility of asking reconsideration for the denial of your bf's application for SSI-Disability? Hope there is.

I have experienced that in my life many times,I do my best but things are not going right or is going well with me. But I just fight my depression and worries and think everything will pass. Just invest in doing good and one can find favor in God and He will rescue you. I have tried it and it worked.

Thanks for your response, I really appreciate it. However, I am not a Christian. I do not have a religion. But, I do respect those who do, so good for you that found comfort in your God. I try to stay positive, but when you have depression and anxiety, it's very hard.

The times are bad. I'm so sorry that you have this type of problems. I'm also disable and I don't get any benefit because they said that I'm to much independent. I can dress myself, eat by myself etc. I use walking stick and I have to take medications and have physio but I guess this is my problem. Cheer up. They say "it can't rain all the time". You will see some happy moments in your life soon. I believe in this. I wish you all the best.

It is so terrible. I am still in school and spend my parents money.Althought I donnot have experience like yours,I believe it will be better. Please not think too much. You know optimism is very important in our life. Now you need grim courage to hold out. Please not think stress itself.Just do what you should do like finding a job.Presumptuous to ask you that do your fiance's parents give you a hand ?Maybe you can talk with your families and they may have good ideas. In China ,when you have some matter ,family will help you by nature.I learn about US a little.
