What have you done or achieved in your life so far that others probably haven't? I moved to a new country and tried to rebuild a semi derelict ruin. How about you?

Remained loyal to a man in a long distance relationship for 6 years without ever meeting him in person yet. We're still so in love :)

As the others said Redmaryjane. That's pretty incredible, and I'm very happy for you. Are there plans to get together face to face sometime soon?

I think i was the only baby who scared my mom so much by not eating that she had to take me to the doctor to see if I were ok. I survived obliviously but from then on my mom knew my attitude was " I don't care when you eat or what..." The other things I am proud of many have done many of times! I won medals for playing in the orchestra, I got to go to New Orleans, pre Katrina, by train. And I let a great guy find me As Is! But that happens Everyday.

Hmm.. not much, other than raising 5 kids while going to school and working part time. I guess that's a pretty big accomplishment. I also completely turned our finances around. Last year our bank account was constantly overdrawn.. and I literally mean constantly. This year we have a total of 3 savings accounts, though there isn't really a whole lot in them.. 2 of them barely hold over $100 and the 3rd is pretty much just for our rent and it gets emptied every month when we withdraw our rent money.. but our checking account has not been overdrawn since January and all of our major bills have been paid on time since then also. So it's not a huge deal... but it's definitely an improvement.

clawing yourself out of debt has been an incredible accomplishment. I've been watching your story and you deserve such congratulations as it's a really hard thing that you've done.

Sorry. I knew you were still in debt, so I misworded that. But there is no argument that you have turned an out of contol situation into an under control one, and that's admirable.

I have done alot but I would not call them catchments. A guy I used to work with a few years back put it into perspective, even though he did not mean too lol

You mean you weren't born and bred in where you live in now and what you have been doing is almost starting from scratch. If so ,I really admire you for being bold and resolute.

Absolutely not! I was born and bred to a totally different life, and this life I have now is entirely by choice. There are many people who think I'm stark staring bonkers ....

I've also moved to a new country. I've taken a job of lesser significance/relevance because the money wasn't there. I've come back to the previous job 5 years later when the money finally caught up with the title.

The only unique thing I have done that not many others have is helped to film a UK children's TV cartoon show, with cardboard puppets, called 'Captain Pugwash', in the 1970s. I spent the day at a small studio in London, where incidentally some of the early 'Dr Who' episodes were filmed, and was paid with egg and chips in the local pub by its creator, the late John Ryan. I never thought I would see the episode again after it aired but of course tapes came in, and I now have a very precious copy of my work. John used to lecture, and sketch, at my Mother's Children's Libraries where she was Chief Children's Librarian. I still have some of his original artwork, done on sugar paper. He was a lovely, talented, gentle man! I'll post a link when I can.

Here's the episode I worked on as a puppeteer: http://youtu.be/9F_fwvZ2yQw In case the link doesn't work, it is called 'Smuggler's Cove'. It's a little sad to see it now, as both my dear Mum and John are no longer here.

Actually, it is called 'Smugglers' Cove'. There is a typo on the video-cover. Sorry, but once a proofreader, always a proofreader!
