I hope I can get some good opinions here because I just don't know what to do. I had much needed abdomen surgery in June. It was successful , but a couple of weeks later I started having pains in my stomach area. I won't tell my medical doctor or my friends and family because I had been suffering from the first condition for over 5 years and had been taking pain meds for four. I was taking pain meds so long I thought I was addicted but once the surgery pains left the pain left and I did not need anything. Now I am suffering in silence because no one wants to hear my mouth again. They thought I was faking the first time . Now they really are going to think I am faking. I don't know what to do I am in pain all day. Even if I take pain meds it is not going to fix what is wrong now. Can anyone tell me something please?

This is your health why are you afraid to talk to a doctor? What are you ashamed of. You shouldn't be messing around with your health with this pain what if this condition gets worse I advise you to seek medical help immediately trust me you'll feel much better that you went to the doctor they'll fix it and the pain will be all gone.

I am ashamed because he just helped me take care of one serious problem and it went well. I feel really stupid but this pain is bad. He will give me pain pills again but I wish the pain would just go away by itside. I dont know what it is this time.. Thank you for your respond.

You should say something to your doctor, you are the patient and a successful operation needs a follow up because the pain may indicate some underlying post surgery problems. So you have to have that checked. My dad also underwent an operation and we accompany him to the doctor if there is any pain that he will feel because we do not want him to have major problems if this small problem as the pain is not resolved. It is your health and the doctors duty. i hoped i helped god bless

Hi vwilliams55,
If the pain is already serious, you need to be honest with your family and friends. Tell them your real condition. They might have some worthy advise to help you. Maybe you need to go back to your doctor and tell him about what you are feeling right now. Do not wait for another day because it might get worse.
Whenever i feel pain in my lower abdomen, i drink hot herbal tea. Especially in the morning at breakfast. I drink 3 glasses of it. I always prepare 1 pitcher of hot herbal tea which i drink the whole day. The pain goes away. I perspire and then unwanted air leaves my body. This usually happens in cold weather.
If your medicine is not anymore effective for you, why not try drinking hot herbal tea. Still, consult your doctor. Maybe, he will prescribe other medications for your pain.

This could be serious and you may need medical attention. If there's pain after going through surgery several months ago then you might need to get a follow up check up on that. Please do not ignore early signs and do not wait until everything gets worse. See your doctor! It is his job to listen to you and not judge you on your experience of pain.

I will try to talk to my doctor about it as I am afraid of getting worse. I agree. I will see what happens.
