I am back again with a heart problem... I can't believe it either! Is it really possible for a teacher to fall in love with her student? Actually, PAST student. He is 8 years younger than me and is pursuing me for more than 3 years now and I must admit, I keep getting touched by his actions everyday. Is it really love? How will I know if I've really fallen for him? How would you react in this kind of relationship? I really need your help guys!

i think it`s natural...
everyone can fall in love include a teacher love his or her student..
maybe it can make your focus lost...but as long as you can treat him as your student and "your new lover" related with the situation, i think you deserve like him

For now, I still prefer to think of him as a "former student" because I am still afraid of going into the next level

I think teachers also have feelings towards students, normally this thing is rare for me, it would be possible. So far i have learnt that love has no boundary and no limitations and all, when in this difficult situation always follow your heart when you are in love, and true love sometimes is hard to find, if you love him just go for it if you think he too loves you then there is no matter.

I do believe that he loves me. Three years is such a long time! As for me, I am still trying to assess whether I really love him or I am just thinking all of this in my head!

He's a former student who's now graduated,so there's no Legal or ethical obstacle..You're both freely consenting adults, and there's a definite spark between You both from what you're saying..8 Years is not a big difference in a relationship..I'm 6 Years older than My Lady...I'd say go for it....Good Luck!

You really think so? Really, there's no legal problem here because it's not as if we're getting married...I am also planning to give it a shot. Now I am convinced, it's better to give it a shot than keep on thinking "what if" forever. thanks a lot!

please do not hold back to your feelings. let them be. they will be the key to your happiness. i am impressed on how you think over your feelings. that is good. however, too much thinking won't bring you nowhere, but confusion and indecision. i assume you are talking with him. get to know him more. see him not as a student but a man. i wish you the best.

Guess you're right...too much worrying will lead me nowhere...all I need to do now is to muster up my courage and go for it! But then again...I am really scared...

Yes, it is very much possible, i know couple of friends who fell in love with her student which is 10 years younger than her. Now they have 3 kids and one on the way. There's nothing wrong with that. If you feel you have the connections then go for it. :)

It's nice that their relationship went out really well...I keep on weighing the pros and cons in this situation and surely, what you said is just another positive situation. Thanks a lot!

teacher-student love affair is unethical and illegal in the eyes of many and in the school policies. Aside from that, you are putting yourself in a risky situation. Say for example, that one student can always be the apple of your eyes no matter how wrong his answer is. You'll be bias in terms of giving grades. One clarification though, is he still a student? Are you still teaching in the same school? Still, that can be called as student-teacher relationship. So beware. But, if he is no longer studying in the same school, I think there is nothing wrong. Teachers are human too. They do fall in love. For your information, my classmate back in college is now married with my former IT professor.

I pride myself for not being bias to any of my students and he graduated already. In fact, people around me says nothing is wrong with it. It is just me thinking too much.

Since he's no longer a student, there's no problem apart from the age difference and, to be honest, 8 years is NOTHING. My lady's 5 years younger than me; her parents have a 10-year difference (as did mine). Age means nothing. Race, religion, creed, colour... it's all irrelevant when it comes to love.
What's important is the reason for the attraction: there's always a small danger he has a sort of mother fixation where he sees you as replacing the love his mother didn't/couldn't/won't give him.
Assuming that's not the case, then I'd say you're in for a bit of a treat of having a younger guy tend to your every need. Wahay!

That is so romantic, if you are single and you are touched by what he does why not go for it? There are really guys that love older women, there are guys that know they love older women as they begun to fall in love to 20 something girls when they are only 11, 14...They just know, it's like being gay, they know since the begining.

I think love is very reasonable. true love regardless of age, degree, race, or profession. if you love him, it's a natural thing. do not make sense as long as ou love your job is the bottleneck, make it as working spirit.

I guess it is cool. I suppose you know her even better than her parents, so as far as I can tell there's nothing wrong with that. As long as you consider she is mature enough as to managing with it without telling everyone about it. you know, it's normal to fall in love with your teachers, it's like a fantasy everyone has at any give time of schoolife, so go for it! you'll make her dreams come true!
