I can say that I'm a little health conscious. But the problem is my mother, she has diabetes and when I'm saying not to eat this or drink that... she's still eating and always reasoning. She is stubborn. Well, I need to be health conscious because of our family history of diabetes. My grandmother in my mother side has also diabetes and my mom, who will be next? It's telling me, Me?

Well, I'm very health conscious and mostly eat organic food or food I've grown myself. I think it's worth a little effort watching one's food intake to stay healthy until old age.
I think the family history of diabetes may be caused by your ancestors eating too much degenerated food and sweets and especially cakes. And it is likely that they are quite addicted to the sugary taste and don't want to change or give it up.
The important thing is you! You want to be healthy and fit in future, no? I have a friend about my age who has diabetes and won't give up the sweet food either, but her daughter (35) is keeping to a healthy diet and does sports and has no health problems whatsoever.
The main thing is not to be afraid of getting ill and you can achieve that by ignoring any discussions what "they" eat, you just eat your healthy food.
Good luck!

That sounds like a sensible point of view, it is better to just do the best you can to eat healthily without becoming too focused on it, the healthiest living person in the world could still get run down by a bus!

hi,
i think i am a little bit conscious to my health especially to my abdominal area, because i always feel something different to my abdominal area,so i always give sympathy of it,and even my parents,i always remind them about their health, especially in the heart.

I didn't used to be health conscious at all, but something happened to me which really made me sit up and think about the way that I was choosing to live my life. Since that happened, I have lost over 4 stone and have stopped eating the kind of rubbish that I always did in the past. Now, I don't eat more than I need to survive, and I do lots of exercise. I also do little things like brush my teeth more often and exfoliate my skin, because it just makes me feel like a much better person on the inside and out when I am able to do that.

I wouldn't consider myself health conscious, but I do try to manage what I eat and what I do. I know what food is not good for me, so I try to minimize it. I've also gotten a bike this year, and currently into hiking. It's not hardcore, but I also try not to let myself go.
