Most of the films made on Holocaust have been extremely touching and I have watched many of them - Sophies Choice, Escape from Sobibore, Schindlers list and the latest one 'The Boy in the Striped Pajamas '- This a relatively new film that I watched recently on the TV, and am watching it again now .It is a very touching story of the friendship between a German boy whose father is a Nazi official at a concentration camp and a little jewish boy... I was so moved by it that I ended up crying An excellent movie , not to be missed... Has anyone seen it? If so please add your own views here...

Hi anil, You are right ! I too like good movies and I really don't care what language it is in.In fact I watch Indian films from all the states when there is sub title.I don't really want to limit myself and watch only Indian or Hindi or films from my own mother tongue. Most of the new films made in India are rubbish and I never waste my money on them nor watch them unless it is something really worthwhile.I too heard about that film and would like to watch it...

Black was a very good film and I too liked it a lot !It was such a sensitive and touching film !Have you see the old film Koshish which dealt with a deaf and dumb couple played by Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bhaduri. I feel that it was one of the best Indian films ever...

Hi hanum, I feel that these films are worth watching, they are well made with an excellent subject dealing with a part of history that is relevant to everybody living in this world. It is a lesson which should teach every human being never to do what one section of society did to others just because they were different !all the best

I will suggest you to watch The Pianist and Life is Beautiful, if you haven't already seen them. These two are also based on the concentration camps and depicts a true picture of how life used to be there, specially watch "Life is Beautiful"

Hi bubu, thanks a lot for your response ....I have seen The Pianist as well as Life is Beautiful, both excellent films on holocaust .There was another film which had Yul Brynner in the lead where he helps a Jew couple escape from a concentration camp. I simply cannot remember the name of the movie ...

I saw it too. Very sad, but very nicely made, so I appreciated it, I have to say. I have seen Schindler's List out of the other ones you mentioned too, but not the other ones, I guess I should try to get a hold of those!

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas in an excellent movie, indeed! It is also an excellent book. I read the book a couple of years ago. I saw the movie just a few months ago. The story reaches right into the heart of the matter.
