Several times, I have experienced being in between the state of half awake and half asleep. Once, I found myself being on this state and I heard water running from the other room. It was so loud as if I were hearing it from my headphones. I wanted to move but I couldn't. My body was too heavy, as if someone was trying to hold me down. My heart raced and I wanted to scream but I had no voice. I looked up on the watch on my wall and found out that it was almost 3AM. Finally, I gave my body a sudden jerk and to my surprise, I was relieved. I could move again and my voice was back but my body was so tired. I still can't explain what happened to me. Have you experienced this too? Can you explain what it is?

Yes this is completely normal thing from the human body/brain. Is called sleep paralysis, this is just so you don't act out your dreams while sleeping otherwise you would be moving, running, clapping etc. in bed while you are asleep. Is completely harmless, you can find more information in websites about Lucid Dreaming and Out of body experience (OBE).
