So how many of you yesterday got into the national topless day. In Ashville North Carolina they expected over 5000 women to drop their tops yesterday. Personally I forgot about it, and didn't even participate in the topless day. Of course I can't imagine going 100% completely topless, but many did it yesterday so how many of you here did it?

Well according to what they said its not against the law for women to go topless, yet it would be against the law if it was bottomless. So thank God they didn't go with a bottomless day. I say they should have a free chocolate day where everyone gets to eat all the chocolate they want for free.

I could see it if it was shirtless day but they made the women where a bra, but this is just stupid. I wouldn't want to know how many men showed up just to watch that.

In some societies around the world, especially in very warm climate, women do go topless, & it is nothing out of the ordinary for those people. I have a feeling that the real reason women normally don't go topless isn't really because of parts that guys don't have. It's actually weather-related.
In my area, I don't know if they made it illegal for men to go topless, but there was talk about implementing that law. However, quite a few stores & shops, & other places have signs posted saying:
No shirt
No shoes
No service
Also, in the summer time, those places surely have the air conditioners running , making wearing a shirt in there a necessity.

Personally I heard nothing about this day here. Not sure if there were many here who knew about it, and personally there is no way I would ever go outside of my bedroom like that unless it is walking from the bathroom to the bedroom after taking a shower. Personally these type of days should not be recognized or allowed unless people are in the privacy of their own homes, or specific places set aside for dress such as this.

I so fully agree with that. I also have to say the only time I was topless yesterday was when I changed from my night gown to my regular clothes.

Yeah people are celebrating it in areas here in the US, its suppose to be for womens rights. I mean men get to go topless so why not women? Of course I cant imagine walking around with nothing up top. I would at the least want my bra on.

I also believe that we need to be modest and to know where to draw the line, to me its fine to wear a bikini top around, but go no further then that. We have to know where to draw the line, and say enough is enough.

Isn't that part of the movement against the fact that men can be in public with their shirts of but women can not? I have better things to do and more serious issues to be an activist for than silly shirt privileges. I bet the male college students with their cameras love national topless do. Maybe some consider it fun but I sure as heck am no going to play pretend stripper - even for one day.

*Let me clarify that. I think there is a time and a place. Wearing a swimsuit at the beach for example. But even in that case the bare essentials are still covered. I think parading in the streets shirtless with the double glories shining in broad daylight is...well....dumb. There I said it. Society looks down on strippers but then we have this day. All I can say is the men most love it - A LOT.

We know they were loving it yesterday. You wouldn't catch me going there without wearing a bikini top or something. But I suppose many had fun doing it. But how will men look at them after they have done this, isnt it going to be a bit degrading to meet your neighbor at the local market after he saw you topless? I know that would bother me big time. Imagine knowing the whole town took photos of you and may be doing God only knows what with the photos. To me they went a bit to far with this.
