I'm personally an agnostic eclectic pagan. Yes, I still haven't quite made up my mind about my exact religious thinking.
Generally I hear about a religion or an aspect of it and do some research. From there I decide what I like and don't like about it. I take these things into consideration and make up what aspects will and wont be added to my personal philosophy and morals.
How do you approach religion? If you answer that part feel free to leave your remarks about your opinion of how I approach it.

In my case I was born a Catholic and was quite content about it but years ago I was invited to a Born again Church and studied the Bible with them. They taught me many things about God and His word. I decided to become a born again christian, it was a radical change for me at that time especially since all my life i was a Catholic and our whole clan are of the same religion. But at that time for me it wasnt about religion, its about doing what I think was right. well, i can really testify that my life changed for the better and never regretted that decision. I believe that life can be worthwhile regardless of religion but to have something to believe and hold on to is important and defines you as a person.

Welcome to myLot deviantd! Well, here goes... I don't believe in God or any other deities. I respect other people's faith and I have never tried to influence anyone into "not believing". As long as they respect my stand on religion, I never get involved with debates regarding this subject.

Religion offers a sense of hope because during times of strife and need, who will you turn to? That's why some people believe in a higher power who can reply to those needs. There are so many things humans can't comprehend and things we can't compete with such as the destruction caused by mother nature. For me, religion sets guidelines to live a just and peaceful life. It is a system which allows people to join in a community to share their beliefs.

It's not just about religion or church, but it's all about FAITH. A lot of religions and churches existed even in the times of Jesus... But what did He oftentimes implies ---- having FAITH. And what is FAITH? My answer is in a form of a question,----- If my belief in God is wrong and false, i would be wasting my life. Let's say 50years of happiness here on Earth... But if i were right, and just put ,y FAITH in God, I would be enjoying ETERNAL HAPPINESS in Heaven... What do you think? Which is more worth taking the risk?
Then you would ask, which church should you join? Pray to GOD, and let Him provide yo the way. You will never know, maybe tomorrow a friend will invite you to attend a fellowship or a Bible Study...
Many of us denies the existence of GOD or ignore it simply because we value more of the worldly pleasure of life. We want to be rich, famous, or powerful. We want things to run the way we want it. We want to be always right and admired....
But that is not the way with GOD..... What we need is great HUMILITY.
Just humble yourself to GOD in prayer, ask Him for help and guidance. Tell Him that you are lost and just desire to be with Him. That you are willing to give up everything in life -all pleasures... I have Faith, you will find Him.

hello there,
we all have different points of view on how we believe our religion. Religion is a law which we all need to abide, but it depends on us. the Customary beliefs that a culture brings also affects our religious beliefs. as a comment of what u feel about your religious thinking, there's no wrong religion and all has its advantages and disadvantages. it is in faith that we tend to follow our religion. being confused of your religion will take you nowhere. just be faithful and honor your religion besides, no religion ever had no God as their almighty they're all the same despite these differences. hope that answers you.

Having a belief in a religion is a kind of way to follow guidelines in what you think is right for you. Some people need to have an instruction book to know what to and how to do it. Each religion has its own rules and ways of living according to what that religion stands for. I sympatize with the Christian belief along with I have my own spiritual belief.

God does exist and the tool in acknowledging it is called religion. Now even scientist thinks that God exist with the development of cosmos energy. You really chose powerful vocabulary on you first line. If you are choosing between the Roman Catholic Church and those of the Non-Catholic Christians (aka Protestants) you might as well just read the Bible (both Old and New Testament). These religious sectors use the same Bible but differs on the interpretation. If you are partial to the Islam read the Koran. If you are into other religion then read their scripture per se. However if you are really not into reading my advice to you is take the time to attend how they do mass or how they preach, praise or worship. And most importantly don't DOUBT! Be an empty cup and really listen and do not prejudge. Acknowledging and Accepting God is a personal journey that the only obstacle you have to face is simply yourself. You are developing your personal philosophy and morals then you also know how these philosophies and morals became yours; the events, the circumstances, the experiences that took place in your life. Look into the cause that shape your philosophies and morals cause those did not happen accidentally. Start contemplating on it and may God bless you.

Religion to me is a path or direction to attain my goal . My goal is the supernatural creator who is not visible by my naked eyes but my conviction says it is there . My faith and trust makes me love that creator and I feel my very life and living is dependent on Him . I fear Him as well as love Him . My fear hinders me from doing wrong and my love is the same kind of love which I have for my parents . My path and belief may not be acceptable to you . But the love and goodness that I feel inherent in me is a religion of a different sort which can be dissociated from any set belief and extended to all. I have my own religion but I am secular to all other religious believers and respect each one's values and conviction .
Religion does not always means to take membership if a particular religious sect . Your good attitude , help to the needy and love for all is a religion which you can adopt to prove yourself to be a good human being .
