a pleasant day fellow mylotters, since i was a child, i have had dreamed of travelling in all parts of the world. as i saw many good places on the television shows that i have watched. and because of those sceneries that i saw from the television program, i have told to myself that i will do my best in order for me to be able to go around the world when i grow up. but apparently, i was not able to do travelling around the world. my dream was not happened. although i have done my very best, still, the best that i have exerted was not enough. the dream of travelling was remain to be a dream until now. for this reason, i just bear in my mind that, to travel the world will just remain a dream.

I think it will depend on what is your job . if you are a tour conductor, it's hopeful for you to travel the world. or you are a teacher of teach the language of your mother tongue, then you can go to other countries to work and by the way to travel. If you really want to travel the world , you should chose the job suit for you! Have a nice day

It is cool that you consider making your hobby your work, but I think creating creating a business so it would grow even when I am not around and earn passive income.

airasheila you need to set you goal and then everyday your brain would tell you what and how you should go about getting it. Try that in no time you would find yourself going somewhere.

Don's stop dreaming, dreams come true I believe...it happened to me...I never expected that I could travel the world...it requires money and opportunity....both were opened to me, never I had a visa rejection....my first international travel was HongKong and china which is very near us....then after 6 years, the opportunity to travel continental Europe was opened, I grabbed it....3 months prior to that, I was given a 10yr multiple US visa on the very first attempt...but I chose Europe first...the next is an opportunity to work abroad was opened, I grabbed it again....then I moved to another country to work for a different company.....after a year, jumped to another country to work....then an opportunity to travel Egypt was given and I grabbed it again....the next year, an opportunity to travel UK was opened and I grabbed it....one time on my back to Manila for an annual vacation from my work, I made a side trip to Thailand, I saved on the airfare cost.....I was compelled to travel the US in 2009 in order to use the visa....for the past years I have been dreaming to visit Istanbul, it's maybe around 5 hour flight or less from my current location, much nearer than coming from Manila, I'm still looking for the opportunity....next year my destination would be Vietnam for holidays....this is also one in my bucket list....keep the dream alive, look for opportunities and pray that that it would come your way and if it did, don't let it go....grab it!

Sometimes in life there can be a surprise. I got made redundant from my job at age 20 years old. I tried very hard to get another job but it was too challenging. I let out my cottage, got a working holiday visa for Australia and bought an around the world airline ticket that cost around £1000. On my trip which lasted for over one year I went to California, Hawaii, Fiji, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. I was able to legally work in Australia as a children's nanny, a factory packer and a charity worker. I came home and studied to become a primary school teacher. A couple of years into my teaching career I did a May to October maternity contract. Then I was able to travel to New Zealand for just £800 with many stopovers. I went to California again, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands and Samoa. So I therefore know working abroad, getting a cheap flight and visiting cheaper countries is a way to travel around the world for a low cost. Good luck achieving your dream to travel around the world.

Don't you ever put yourself down like that with remaining just a dream. Realistically you can't go around the world because of financial stuff. I'm not sure how old you are, but... You still have time left to save and plan to visit your dream countries. Try to gain some support from close family and/or friends who would help you with your idea, maybe they will come along for the ride to enjoy and share good memories with you. I too would like to travel around the world to see the interesting cultures, and embrace the beauty of what's around me and remember the moments that was standing in that place. I'm 19 going on 20 soon... Big step for me and I'm only living maybe about 22% of my life - 78% unlived yet, and it's a long ways to go for me. And I'm pretty sure that it's a long ways to go for you. You sound fairly young... If you're not, then do your best and try to save up to make your dream come true.

Hi Airasheila, Do not put off your dream just like that because we will never know how and when opportunity knocks at our doors most of the time. Life has a funny way of turning things around. Have you consider traveling in all the places to your own country? I am sure there are lots of nice places that you can explore in your provinces and far off areas within your country. :)

I too have the dream of traveling around the world one day. Still don't know whether it will come true or not. But instead of giving up I still hold great confidence about it even though my chance of making it seems pretty slim. It will not remain a dream as long as you still hope for it. One day you are gonna fulfill your dream.
