Hi
I don't know if they having some side effects.. Just like all mom said, Teeth will fall soon.
I don't think there is any other side effects..
About me, I take them too, But i am not that addicted like you.. Mostly I used to take center fresh.. Which i spit out within 5 minutes.
About leaving your addiction, may be you should try to use some other chocolate and try to be addicted to it.

I don't like sweets. I prefer chocolate than sweets..I chewed and have them when I was a kid but I don't prefer to have it now. Some said it is good as your face exercise some said it is good to memorize things when you got something to chew inside the mouth..some just like it has their habit. How many times you have them and chewed them daily, my brother that makes you think it's an addiction??

Hello CT,
Though i don't eat more than 2~3 per day but i believe once i take it in my mouth i don't spit it out as i think it seems better when it gets old.
But sis i believe my skull gets tired and head pains due to excessive chewing and i feel i should leave it.

I ever tried chewing some gums but ended-up not interested to try anymore. Because it makes my teeth and gum pain due to chewing. Besides that, i will need to remember to spit it out, since it is not good to swallow the gum. Since it is so troublesome, so i prefer only to eat sweets and chocolates. Since, i don't have to spit them out anymore...

Of course we are not supposed to swallow the gum. But, there are some cases in the newspapers that mentioned kids who ate chewing gums, some of them swallowed it. And they are rushed to the hospital and being operated, just to remove the gum from their stomach. That's why, it is better don't allow kids to chew gum.

hello sjvg,
I am never fond of chewing chewing gums, it makes my jaw stiff.(^_^)
If you think you were addicted to it, why not chew candy (hahaha) just kidding.
Now, try to stop this habit, slowly you can get rid of it.
Try eating fruits instead (thu, it's not possible to keep chewing any fruit for a longer time )
Uhmnn...try munching a half ripen guava- that takes time to chew
have a good day

Keeping a half eaten guava in your pocket will not be a healthier option... try a green chilly instead... that would need you to have water and not chewing gum
ps.: you can also keep more than one of those chilly in your pocket and no one would suspect.(healthier than a partly munched guava because I am sure, guava is more tasty and you would never be able to keep a part of it
)

They say that there are health benefits to chewing gum, especially the sugar-free kind. It is supposed to help with dental health, because it makes you produce more saliva, which kills bad bacteria in the mouth. It is also supposed to help aid in the digestive process, because the chewing triggers your stomach to produce enough enzymes to digest the food. It is also supposed to help in weight loss and to stop smoking, because the chewing sensation gives your mouth something to do and you will not eat or smoke as much.
Personally, I just like the way that gum tastes.

Thank you for the honor of best response.
So, have you started chewing more gum recently? I know that my little one will try to think of any excuse so that she can get to chew it.

Hi ya sjvg1976
I don't think there will be any side effects you just need to break the habit and you might find will start to try and chew other things like pen lids. I find that if ever I chew gum (which is rare, very rare) I feel hungry. This is because when you chew gum you produce a lot of saliva and makes your stomach think that food is coming so it prepares itself but then of course no food comes so you start to feel hungry.

I just saw an article by Dr. Mercola on enzymes that suggested that we don't chew gum. Gum gives the body the impression that food will follow and it starts to prepare to digest which never comes so that the body wastes enzymes. You might want to do a search for it.

Hi sjvg!
I rarely ever chew gum as I find that it hurts my jaw. Some people like to chew gum all the time and perhaps it is out of habit. I think constant chewing of gum can't be too healthy for the teeth. That is not to say every so often, but all day might be a bit too hard on the teeth and gum.
Do you meant to say you swallow the gum? If so I don't think that is wise. I don't think gum absorbs and perhaps not healthy for the stomach.

chew gum when we just pay it and saliva enters the stomach and abdomen so that lie Eat something.
and then even more hungry.
I personally try not to buy a chewing gum or me or some of the family because it is a kind of stocking.
Have a nice day!

Its not necessary to eat chewing gum besides the gum itself contains some substances which may be harmful to your stomach. I suggest that spit the gum if its ran out of sweetness.

Hello sjvg1976,
I also have a habit of chewing gum. I chew gum mostly when I'm hungry or when my mouth taste bitter from eating certain types of foods. I chew gum for hours even when the sweetness has gotten out of the gum lol. Try candy instead because gum does give you a headache and makes your teeth and jaw hurt.

You don't "eat" chewing gum you chew it silly, well unless you swallow it then you probably shouldn't because it'll be in your digestive system for a very long time i think 7 years. But to get back to the question yes, i do love shewing gum and chew it constantly but don't get head aches from it mabey you stop chewing and drink some water that will probably help with the head aches.

Hello dogs,
I tried it but did not have the effect i feel it is better not to chew gum for longer period
as it gets harder and exerts more pressure on jaws which cause pain in skull
.But personally you ask me i love to chew gums. Oh yes i don't eat it *lol*.But really it takes 7 years to get decompose from our digestive system.Nice information though but recently i did had my ultrasound/X ray of my stomach it was not visible there which swallowed during last 7 years.

Most people think that the chewing gums will give us a better dental health. Besides it, it seems that it can relax yourself since you are chewing gums. Perhaps this is why you can see the basketball players like to chew gums when they are in the court.
I love China

Men who are close to cattle chew gums hehe. But no. its a learn't habit. its not totally wrong to chew gum and to my knowledge it doesnt ahve any bad affect. it infact acts as a facial exercise and i am told it strengthens the gum.It also does away with bad breath.Constant chewing gum will ofcourse put pressure on our skull which could be the reason for the headache.Anything overdone is bad

I don't like chewing gum at all. My hubby chewed it when he played basketball. He said that when he chewed chewing gum while playing, he feels gaining more extra breath. If you feel something bad, forced yourself not to do so.
