I don't drink beer or anything alcoholic and I just seem to wonder why people love to drink it.Some say drinking makes them more confident and give them courage to speak their mind while some say they become friendlier or they can do thingies without holding back. So it just shows that they knew exactly what they are doing and the words they are uttering during the time they are drunk are sober thoughts. What do you think?

Yes and no. While it is much easier to say things when you're drunk that you wouldn't say sober. However we also say things we don't mean. It depends on the state of drunkenness. If you're black out drunk, then yes, probably. But if you're just plain drunk you can usually take a little control of your mind (not bloody much mind you.)I've held in things when I was pretty drunk.

Not necessarily, but sometimes I feel like this is the case (but not always, like I said). I like drinking. When I'm out with my friends, extended family, up north, tipping a few back, having a bon fire, maybe playing some good accoustic guitar, listening to good music and chatting it up with people you don't get to see often is what I would consider a good time. Of course drinking "loosens" things up - which can be good or bad depending on how far you take it. Everything is good in moderation. I know I've said some things drunk that I wouldn't have the guts to say to someone when I was straight, but I know the reverse is true - we say stuff we don't mean when we're drunk as well. So it goes either way, really.
