I can't stop eating so much

It's like everytime I see food I eat it. I'm already fat as it is (not obese, just fat)so the fact that I want to be skinny but can't quit eating isn't helping. Like every 10 min I'll go to my fridge or something and grab stuff to eat. It's turned into a recreational sport. What can I do to control myself? I don't want to be fatter than I already am.

After a couple of years of family and health problems my weight has shot up and so I have returned to Weight Watchers and to weekly meetings as this is the ONLY way I personally seem to stick to a diet. Losing weight doesn't happen overnight, even though putting it back on seems to!! Set yourself a realistic target and a time to do it in, the best weight loss to aim for is 1-2 lbs (0.5 - 1.0kg) a week. When you first start your diet you may lose more at first(because of loss of fluid)but this will slow down.Be patient - the slower you lose it the longer it will stay off. Don't think of any food as a 'sin' or 'forbidden', you are permitted the odd higher calorie treat.Try to stick to eating three good, well balanced meals a day, meals that include some of all the food groups - fruit and/or vegetables, carbohydrates and protein. If you eat sufficient amounts at each meal you should not need to snack in between meals - believe me you soon reach this habit - because most of our eating is down to habit.Do NOT weigh yourself every day!! In fact throw away those scales and find a local pharmacy that have reliable scales and weigh yourself the same day (and time of day) every week. Remember that your weight may be staying the same but you are losing inches so do measure yourself at regular intervals. Eat your foods slowly , if you cut down the portion of your foods try using a smaller plate!! And finally - be more active!! This doesn't have to be the gym or exercise programmes - do what suits you, your body and your lifestyle the best. Walking, swimming, gardening all count as exercise! I have been following these principles since I joined Weight Watchers on the 11th January this year and have currently lost 77.5 pounds

Then you're probably not determined enough to stop bingeing. Coz if you were really determined to get skinny, then you would do ALL means to get skinny. I know of people who have 34 something waistlines and starve until they faint, and now they're practically models:) i swear, im not kidding:) its really a matter of willpower and determination:)

I like to consider myself pleasantly plump, not fat. I feel like this summer I have gained a ton of weight, even though I am more active. I do not keep much food in my place because I am not home a whole lot, so I eat at the house where I take care of a child. It's so convenient to just graze there...I love to hate it. And they are health fanatics, so I'm not sure how my gaining weight thing is panning out. If the food is there and convenient, I am going to eat it. That's just how I operate. I just have to be careful because my BMI is one point from being overweight.

Choose snacks that won´t make you fatter. I haave discovered the use of broths. I bring aa broth mug to the computer and it helps. Don´t buy the kind of food that you should not eat. I´m addictd to chocolate so I never buy it. I only have it (and gobble it) when someone gives me chocolates as a present.

What i usually do when i'm tempted to eat something,is i drink water. Not only is it good for your skin but also fills you up which will make you not want to eat.Or i try as much as possible to stay away from the kitchen by being in a room.I suggest you try one of this or both.I hope it helps.

Actually if a person has a problem like you, commonly said unable to control ourselves to eat means decipline is gone. So in your case which I think the fridge is in your room or nearest to you. So you must avoid putting foods in your fridge specially foods which more fats. Put some food that healty and not your favorites may be you cannot crave it.

Oh you really need to set your mind and at least slowly discipline yourself not to. Try putting fruits like apples, pineapples or any sour like fruits that can help control craving. Then if you get hungry always imagine how obese you might become if you don't control yourself. Have some yoghurt instead of ice cream. Remember, you are the only one who can best help yourself because we are not going to be there to close up your fridge so you can't eat. And if you won't try to top it you might end up getting obese for it will become a very bad habit that you would hardly be able to curb in the long run.

Poor babytaffster,I know control appetite is difficult. I like to eat very much. I am afraid of being overweight,so I often suppress my appetite,it's uncomfortable. Occasionally I ate amounts of food,I would be down in spirits. I would do many exercises to consume calorie. Extremely,I maybe vomit. Certainly it's not healthy,so now when I want to eat a lot of thing I do other thing to distract my attention. Such as reading a book,go out wandering, surfing the Internet, chatting with your friends etc.

First don't stock up on things you like. If you don't have the things you like you wouldn't eat so much. I dink lots of lemon tea. I find the sourness of the lemon cuts the appetite. Try fasting to keep your mind off of food.

Hai babytaffster Try doing hypnotherapy program.. Hypnotherapy is therapy that is very sophisticated mind. With hypnotherapy we can reach the subconscious mind, then uninstall the habit patterns that have been entrenched in your mind. Hypnotherapy aims to get you in control of yourself. After hypnotherapy, you immediately feel the change as follows: Normal appetite. You feel full / satisfied with a reasonable amount of food. You don't often feel hungry again. You can keep snacking, but snacks are satisfied with little. You can still enjoy your favorite foods, but you are able to control the amount you eat each day. You will be treated to resolve your feelings. In addition, you also provided techniques to transform negative feelings into positive in less than 1 minute.

how i lost weight without exercise or dieting. I tried not to eat a full stomach of food everytime. I reduced portion size of my food. but i was still hungry. i learned that eating more meals but small portions are better than eating less meals and bigger portions. Try it and let me know how it goes.

I was like that too and until life smacked me in the face. I found out I had diabetes in March, I was also having panic attacks. Between the two of them I finally got serious about my health. I work out 6 days a week now for 40 minutes at least and I don't eat junk food anymore. I have lost 24 pounds since March. It literally took fearing for my life to get me to stop eating like mad. I suggest taking a walk or popping in a work out DVD that you like to do. It give your mind something else to do so you stop thinking about food.

Maybe you should have more time for other activities you like? keep your self busy? maybe it will work. When I'm not doing anything and always watching television I always feel hungry and wanted to eat food always

Don't shop for food and leave food at the fridge that is good only for a day's consumption. It's all about the attitude. You need to find your motivation. If you are easily tempted to grab some food and eat, then try to know yourself more and analyze what can stop you from doing it. No matter what advice you will get here, without making a determined decision it would still fail. So it all depends on you and you alone.

Next time when you feel like eating something, just urge yourself to drink more water and fruit then you will find you don't want to eat anything..Then,you would feel much better,or if you just keeping eating,it's kind of bad for your digest system and health.Remember do not eat the things with much calories.Good luck.
