which one earn much: starting a new discussion or giving comments?

It is hard to say which one will generate you more as no one is aware of the algorithm as to how much ones exactly earns for participation. One thing for sure is that starting a discussion and not participating in it will not earn you as much as you actually commenting to the responders. Remember that we earn only for our efforts. Therefore, the responders are earning for their responses, we only earn if we comment back to them. What we must all keep in mind that it is not quantity that will earn you more but more of quality. This is what myLot asks us to do is be as descriptive as we can when participating. Doing either is certainly a preference, and whichever is more comfortable is best for each. There are those who enjoy only doing their own discussions and participating in them and those who like responding more. I like both but am more of a responder.

I am quite new to Internet and quit new to mylot .com also. So I really donot know which one[ either starting new discussion or giving comments to discussion] will yield more money. later on if I come to know about this I will certainly let you know. Until such time please wait.

If you start a discussion and get lots of comments, you earn NOTHING from the people that comment. However, if you then respond back to those people you earn. I had a friend here that tried an experiment. One day she only started discussions. The next she only responded to people that responded to her discussions. The next day she only responded to other people's discussions. She learned: 1 - that you earn as much for posting a discussion as responding to a discussion - hers or any one elses 2 - that after a few responses to responses in her discussions, her number didn't go up (the number after your name) but she still earned as much as when she responded to another person's discussions. 3 - you earn by how many discussions you start/respond to. So, if you start 100 discussions you basically earn the same as if you respond to 100 discussions (either people responding to your discussion or to someone else's discussion.) So, this is the advice of a long time member, the biggest danger is starting or responding to discussions that will get deleted.

hi humairaku if you just start discussions you will not make much but yes if you make a comment on each andevery response we give yuou you will be typing and y ou will be earning and very well. mylot does not hava a scale of earnings for various thihns as they bast hjom muchy they pay on the qu ality of our posts. if they are short and asinine they will make a penny or two but if you make them quality they will pay pretty well.they do not want us questioning about the earnings algorithm as its none of our business. just dol quality posts and you will earn.

Hi humairaku, I agree with you on your comment that commenting on others discussion is much easier that starting one on your own. I am at a lost when it comes to starting a discussion. As for which one earns you the most, I don't have a clue. I do know that it is hard for me to make payout each month.

Earning is easy here on myLot when we are having fun. It is not a race to make our number go up and quality, whether we start a new topic for dicussion, respond on other discussions or comment on our own or those started by others, is what counts. MyLot is for discussions therefore 'just posting' topics or responses is not what creates the best earnings. If you start a topic or leave a response, try following it up with comments furthering the topic and engaging in a discussion. Your number will not increase when you do that but your earnings certainly will. It is also easier to discuss a topic which you are interested in rather than trying to think up new topics for discussion or trying to find original responses for discussions started by others. Whatever you do it must be fun and then the earnings wil take care of themsleves.

As they pay for the quality of each of our posts its not how many but how good is the one you make. quality is the name of the game here.please read all the information mylot has posted for you, the guidelines and rules of discussion is most helpful for us all.There no rates given for anything but if you make a discussion, get a lot of responses you must comment back on each one as we getpaid for our responses to you so you must comment back on them to get good pay.I like to do both making discussions and responding to others discussions. enjoy and make friends and the money will grow for you as you do quality posts.

Great post! Many mylotters shared their inputs and I enjoyed reading their experiences. Since I am new with mylot and I was not as serious when I joined in so maybe I can do an experiment one day to see it for myself. For this time, I will just search on topics that interests me to share my inputs.

As mylot checks quality instead of quantity, it depends on what you write and how you do it. For me it is difficult to start posts, but I love to continue commenting the answers I get. I feel in the middle of a party at home.

I am not sure about mylot. But if I were to calculate or pay you for your participation, I will pay you more on the new discussion that you started. Because for new discussion, you need to have to think and have good idea or topic to start a new discussion. Whereas for giving comment, the idea or the topic is already there, so you just need to write what you know about the topic. And only with new discussion, the site can be expand, just think about it, what if no one giving or start any new discussion for a long time, all the topic will be left those old topic, there are no new topic, do you think people will still interested to discuss any further?

To be honest, i have observed that i earn more whenever i have started quality discussions like 10 in a day, got lots of responses and responded back on them . That , i would discover on the day after tomorrow whenever i look at how much i earned. It surprises me really and i love Mylot for it. And the fact that a lot responded to your topic , would also make you so happy! It's just that, it's hard to start a topic because you have to know whether same topic has been discussed already. So guys, start having quality discussions.

I personally perdpochitam idvete a new theme and a new comment. But who earn more do not know and do not show much interest. For me it is important to write good things and be otsenenii. Yet here is the work of the whole team. You pay us for our efforts to think our actions. Have a nice day!

i prefer responding to discussions rather than starting them, as i feel there are so many that most of the discussions i would start are political, or economics one, and they tend to generate quite controversial responses, and mylot is supposed to be a pleasure, not a source of argument, so i just respond, and enjoy other people's discussions. but people have to do what they prefer, if everyone started discussions and no one responded, we would have a problem, whereas if everyone responded and no one started any discussions that could also be a problem, so both is what is needed, you just have to do what you prefer. on earnings, i haven't been here long enough to really work it out, but my feeling is that there is a sort of daily earnings calculation, that is a simple calculation of the number by our name, possibly as a function of our rating, but i don't for sure on that, and then there is a more complex calculation done less frequently, which probably incorporates quality, as i have had a few random additions to my earnings for no obvious reason. and so the daily total calculation counts the number of posts you make, but if you post more than once on the same dicussion the counter by your name only changes once, but the more complex, less frequent, calculation evaluates the quality of your responses, and therefore includes your responses within caluclations. thats what i think, but i am only guessing from the small amount of evidence i have available to me.

I prefer both. I love creating new discussions I want to post quality discussions every-time. But contrary to that I also want to response in different discussions that were posted here. There are times that I can't really think of what to discuss so I just response to the discussions here. You can earn money by doing the two. i just don't know which of the two really helps me to earn more. :-P

Still im in confusion that im agree that we wil earn more when we give comments to other discussions but i love to give comments if im interested with those topics but its rare i dont want to comment all the topics to earn money searching discussions suits my interest.
