My friends never failed to tell me that I am in fact a good listener. I don't know what really makes me a good listener, maybe because after telling something for example a problem, whatever problem it is. I always give them the advice they really need and that really helps them a lot. How about you? What makes you a good listener? :)

Yes, I think you are a good listener. I feel that if one looks attentively and at the person who is speaking, even into their eyes and then, after they finished talking, one can give a bit of good and really relevant advice, that makes the other person feel appreciated and listened to. Many people these days don't really listen anymore, they are occupied with their own thoughts and things, it's me - me - me, so I think it's totally great that you are a good listener and I hope there will be more in future!

Yes, i agree with you. Thank you. Hopefully one day people will realize that listening is also a way to respect other people. It's not that bad to make listening a habit.

Yes, eynjel! I find that people have such a short attention span never mind what you tell them and I'm often not sure whether they simply are not interested or if they can't follow! As it is, I think having respect for others, as you say, is so essential and so listening well and interacting well is sure worth it to get into the habit of! Surely, listening well doesn't mean to just sit there and not say anything, no, I think first listen and then communicate well. Thank you for your comment! I agree with you, too! :)

Yes you have a very good quality that many of us do not have. It said we have two ears and one mouth so we have to listen twice, but in reality we listen less speak much. To be a good listener I think one should have empathy for the speaker. I also try to listen when someone speak about their problem like the same way you told.
