they are sunglasses, that have your reading perscription in them.. like if you wear glasses to see, now you can have sunglasses that still allow you to see.. and the designer bit comes from, they aren't just standard issue glasses that the opticians have, they are designer make.. like D&G, Diesel etc..

Thanks very much. So prescription means sunglasses for those who have vision problems. Designer means branded sunglasses. a brand which is very famous. Is that right?

Designer refers to the frames, prescription refers to the glasses themselves and are constructed to your doctor's instrucitons.

Frames are the part that hold the glasses, when they are labeled designer it means they are not just mass produced but came from a special Designer, usually one that
also designs clothing or jewlery. These are much moe expensive than frames just mass produced. When you buy clothing here if you get designer it means that very few cloths like yours were made. For the very best and most expensive the Designer
makes only one just for you. These cloths are only worn by the rich people in the world.

Thanks very much. Designer means the frames? What does that mean? Does designer mean the same thing as frame?
