What will you answer if your employer will ask you...What are your weakness?

The standard answer is to say you're a perfectionist because it's a strong weakness. But EVERY interviewer has heard it and knows it's rubbish. Personally, I tell them the truth: my main weakness is being a little outspoken. If I think something's wrong, I'll say it, no matter whether I'm talking to the cleaning staff or a Director. I'm opinionated, honest and show it a little too often for some people. (Conversely, one of my former managers actually LOVED this and used it to her advantage: she'd invite me to meetings where she wanted something honest said but couldn't say it herself because of the repercussions. No worries, I'll do it, provided I agree to her point of view (which I did, since she was the best manager I've ever had)! )

When you're asked what your greatest weakness is, try to turn a negative into a positive. When I was asked this question during my last interview, this was my answer: "I'm a bit impatient to those people who don't do their work because they don't only affect themselves but the whole team as well." In this being impatient is my weakness, but there is a valid reason why.

I think that is a very interesting question. I have been thinking about this for a little while and I can't think of a good answer. I work hard, I pay attention to detail. I am quick and efficient. I would say one of my weaknesses is that I am too hard on myself. If I make a mistake, I beat myself up about it worse than necessary. Another weakness would be that I take everything I can and help anyone I can, even if it puts me behind doing something I need to do.

It is really a difficult question. I remembered I was once asked with that question also. I think I answered that my weakness is also my strength, blah blah.... It's really difficult to answer positive when the question is asking for negative answers.
