Which one do you trust more, internet or other mass media?

I trust my intuition, but you can never know what is wrong and what is right, even to photos I don't no if I can belive 100%. there is a japanese saying: "If you belive every thing you read, better not read."

hi, for me, i would rather trust the mass media than the internet because its a live giving information to all viewers,and aside from the mass media also shown whats really happening than the internet that usually used a photograph.

i do not think that all the media is giving us is the correct information; it is not always the truth that they are giving, it could be half the truth only that they are showing us. i am sure we all know that these media have the power to provide us which information they only want us to know. The internet however could be a good venue to get some good information but then it may also be not true.. haha its so hard to identify whichh one is more reliable. :D :D

I don't really trust any media. But we have to know what is going on in the world. I watch the news sometimes, but it's all too phony for my liking. I read some news on the internet also. It is what it is. We cannot believe everything we hear anyway.

I will prefer internet, but as far as trust is concerned, I will gather all the information from various source to make sure the information that i got is right, as every one can manipulate information, before spreading it to the public.

Of course i trust internet because any other information medium beside internet got censor before providing real information. internet is hard to censor up to some extent.

I gather news from all type of media and then figure out the truth. No case of trusting anything over something else. Maybe my basic belief is everyone is a liar!! Not exactly, but you see when you have to find news in current scenarios it's better to check and compare. :)

they are all the same and subjected to be proven.... but i have trust more on Yahoo News compare to local media

i find with the internet it is easier to check other sources, we don't just have to rely on one news programme to tell us what is happening, it is easier to check other people's versions of events. though of course i can then chose to read the version i prefer, and ignore an interpretation of a news event that i don't like. though i think the question of which can be trusted more is a very interesting one, i do sometimes wonder though if i can trust myself, as i tend to favour the version of a news story i like over one i don't like. when i don't really know which is the truth at all.

I don't know which one is more informative and correct. I dont beleive the information that comes from the media is 100 percent right as the same case in internet. I want to ask you that information comes to internet only after the comes to other mass media. The media get only a short news which then elaborated and add some masala by them then publicized. What do you think ?

Well some news channel lie to get money, but some don't, I think news channel like sky,bbc are trusted channels and are good and won't lie.

Hi fitriadi, there is no mass media which can provide a 100 percent accurate information on a news, some are true and others or not but Internet will be having a lot of information regarding that news so it is the best choice. Even news channel have decided to post their information on the internet itself so that can influence a large amount of people.

Good point my friend. Though we can not 100% rely on either one of them be it Internet or the Mass Media. But if I really had to depend on one it would be Internet. Cause at times you would get unbiased information from internet, though may not be reliable. But mass media is always influenced and compromised. There is and there will always be political, religious, financial, etc. influence on Mass Media. Later, they tend to push their thoughts and try to brainwash the viewers. That's the worst thing I hate about them. I have seen people around me getting so influenced by media hype. It sure is sad. Without their own thoughts they just believe mass media blindly.
