Think about it. With physical stress, simply eating or sleeping long enough will get your physical energy back. However mental fatigue is far more complicated. Mental fatigue would include worrying about things (like a test, or a family member in the hospital). The mental side of us also impacts the physical more than the physical. Your brain after all controls the body and can order your legs to walk on even if they send the signal that they are tired. However if your brain gets stressed there is nothing your legs can do about it.
Also the mental facilities are vulnerable to a lot more than the physical body. Overwork, emotions, impact from peers and people, etc. And since the mental facilities are in control, when they are inflicted, everything is inflicted.
Does that make sense? (I'm not sure I explained that to well.)

As we go through the day, we have to face and bear a lot of mental stresses. That's why by the time I get back home from work in the evening, I often feel so tired and exhausted. Mental stresses certainly drains the physical energy too. My favorite way to relax and get rid of the stresses, these days, has been to listen to my favorite music CDs. Very relaxing !

To some extent this is true.
Physical stress is very large and sometimes get so many diseases.
Pain in the head do not have energy to continue.
We should be able to be energetic throughout the day to think positive about it can not affect us and have no pain.
Have a nice day!

Obviously, the brain controls everything within the body. Having a mental stress can impair the normal function of the brain that is responsible for regulating the hormones being released in each organ . When an organ is not functioning well, therefore can result to illness .
