It is fascinating to note, that before ,when we do our laundry , it just being washed with a detergent. But now, there’s the fabric conditioner which can make it soft , easy to iron and smell fragrantly. And we can wash them easily through a washing machine.
Before, you just scrub your body with a pumice or a hand towel to eliminate those hard to remove dirt in our bodies. But now, there are spas that offers to scrub your body.
Same with our feet, before we just scrub them with soap and a pumice, but now there’s the foot spa, with choices of different soaps to scrub it.
See, simple things were made complicated yet costly. It’s our call whether to patronize them or just go with the simple and cheap ways.

Hi SIMPLYD :)
Technology has really transformed as time goes by. It really gives a lot of other dimensions. It can make things easier for us to do. Still, I prefer the simple and cheap ways. You can still get a taste of the new technology but with a cheaper cost. We have a washing machine at house but my mother still prefers to wash our clothes by her bare hands. Though, she is using fabric conditioner to make our clothes smell better. :)

Well, yes we can get a taste of the new technologies, but still we prefer to have the simple and cheap ways.
How industrious of your mother to still hand wash the laundry.
I guess, that way she feels that she can convey the care she has for her children.
I think , a lot are using the fabric conditioner.

Oh yeah, my mother is really a dedicated one. She wants it that way because she wants to make sure that our clothes will be cleaned fully. :)

You are exactly right about this. I have started making my own laundry soap and that saves me some money and I have found that white vinegar is one of the best fabric softeners. The clothes do not smell like vinegar, but they smell very fresh and they are soft. Just pour it in the washer where you normally would the fabric softener. Very less expensive than fabric softener.

White vinegar in lieu of fabric conditioner? Isn't it smelling sour?

People are getting busier nowadays that they don't have time to scrub their own selves anymore. They'd rather pay for the services of others who would do the dirty jobs for them. On the lighter note, we are giving more jobs to jobless people in our country!

Well, that is true with those who have lots of money to spare. But with ordinary people, they would prefer to do them because it won't cost them extra money.
I pay my small niece PhP20.00 just to scrub my back with a hand towel, with soap in it! She likes the pay!

I hardly go to the spa.In fact, I still use loofah or pumice once in awhile because it's fun to pamper one's self.
Fabric conditioners, I use because I don't like ironing. It's always wash, hanger to dry and wear for me. My boyfriend's mom still uses the paddle when doing her laundry to get better results.
There are so many things that have greatly been improved by innovations on products to make our lives easier but sometimes nothing beats the old ways.

That's right.
We can have our own spa at home, using our loofah and pumice. Just get a basin and fill it with a tepid water, then pour a scented liquid soap and soak your feet in it while watching TV. After 3o minutes, you can scrub it with a loofah and wash it with a new basinful of warm water again, and voila, you just had a spa!
As to fabric conditioner, we don't use it. The washed clothes of our laundrywoman really smells so fragrant. . Maybe because the detergent we buy already has the fabric conditioner. That way, we spend less on the laundry soap & conditioner.
So for you you still use fabric conditioner. But with it you need not iron them anymore. That's one way of saving on electricity.
