HK is not asking for apology for the deed of Hostage Taker Mendoza but the mismanagement of of the situation. It's not just a sin a one man who killed the 8 HK Nationals but the neglect of many who could've prevented it from happening.

I don't why the Palace isn't going to issue a public apology when it is clearly evident that something happened really badly on the part of the government when the hostage crises was in full swing. After that horrible incident, 8 innocent foreigners are killed and the people responsible for negotiation just pointed their finger to each other. I don't know what the reasoning of the Palace for not publicly apologizing but the matter is still unresolved. If this doesn't get resolved soon, it will be a yearly and nasty reminder of incompetence, negligence and over-all irresponsibility. What happened to accountability that this government wants to implement? It makes us look like idiots (pardon for those who might get offended) in front of the international community. They might not be wondering why our system and governemnt sucks. This is a political and national nightmare. It would be batterer if people in the governemnt act responsibility even once in their lives. I hate to imagine that we need to face international ridicule due to our government's inability to face the music and eat humble pie. It's so simple, justifiable and easy, but they don't even have the guts to say 'sorry'.

My reaction to the travel ban is: so what? There are a lot more Pinoys going to their country than them going to us. I am pretty sure their unhealthy hatred against our race will cause them more harm than good. Our country's tourism business is still thriving and theirs is just a fraction of the total picture.

i second the motion. it wont matter if there are travel bans of HK goin to manila...its mere mere portion of the number of influx of tourism to our country

PNoy's not giving the apology, because according to him, the country didn't cause any massive harm to Hong Kong. I think that's pretty fair enough. I feel sorry for their loss though. But I think they should point their fingers first to the suspect. Whatever the suspect's issues were, it's not proper that he should end other people's innocent lives. Somehow, it's something that most people are forgetting.
