I got a new laptop I intended to put XP in. I didn't buy the windows 7 home premium in it. You know, to save money. I have a retail version of XP upgrade cd from a few years back. Its not running on any other machine. So, I figure its ok to install it on this laptop.
To my disappointment, its install button is grayed out in windows 7 home premium and it bluescreens when I try bootup installation.
The OS in the laptop works like a charm except it expires in 16 days and I don't have the money to pay for it. Also, its blocking XP from installing.
Microsoft Answers hasn't been too helpful.
Did anyone else have this issue? I am open to suggestions. Thanks.
