This may sound funny but I don't even know how long I have had these pair of flip flops I am wearing I think it has been 2 or three years, and for the life of me I can not remember where I bought them!! I wish I could remember because you know we usually throw out our shoes after a certain time they get old and faded and just fall apart!! But not these especiailly for a pair of flip flops!! He he he I am l.m.a.o. about now because they have lasted so long!!And I just can't seem to part with them the only thing that is wrong with them is that the cats think they are dogs and have chewed on them a little!! Do you have a pir of flip flops that you can not part with?

Hi there! that's not a long time, 2-3 years. I have shoes, sandals and slip-ons that are with me for about 3 years or so. I rarely throw or give away footwear. If they're still usable, I'll wear them. On the other hand, there are low-quality flops that I've thrown away, as well. These are the cheap ones that easily wear off.hahaha!!

Hahaha. This discussion really make me happy. Well I may not be that lucky with flip flops but I am very much attached to my clothes. I still have favorite blouses or dresses being worn till now when they were already 5yrs old. How cool is that? haha

It sounds weird that you are attached to your flip flops but you are not alone. I have a deep attachment with pair of brown flip flops and a pair of leather sandals that has served me for years. I am not fond of buying foot wear so the ones that I own, I use them 'til they look like hell.
In our country, a singer wrote a song about his favorite pair of flip flops that he had to part with because the straps were already torn. He sang about "their" experiences together. The song was a huge hit! So we're not alone in this odd connection that we feel about our foot wear JA... ;D

Flip flops were never really my style of shoe. however, my daughter is all about her flip flops. We are buying her a pair all of the time. it is the only type of shoe she is comfortable wearing. they are inexpensive so that is one benefit.

LOL I do have a few pairs that I have owned for years. Though most of them do wear out for some reason, some do last a very long time. Maybe see if they have the brand wording still visible and go online to see if any stores still carries them. This might help in finding them, although I must say that sometimes as the years go by the manufacturers make cheaper imitations. So lets hope the ones we have last a while longer.

Yes, I have. It is a golden or yellowish or brownish (that combination ). It was given to me as a gift before. And because I really like the flip flops, I rarely use it because I don't want it to be destroyed. I just use it whenever I go out (on a not so ordinary day).

I don't wear flip flops. I think it's funny your cats use them as chew toys. Those cats will play with anything. Best Wishes!

To tell you the truth, I hate flip flops. I have a pair for when I go to the swimming pool, as the floor tends to burn, but I only use them for that.
Flip flops are so uncomfortable, it's difficult to walk with them and I dislike unconfortable footwear. Also, I have never seen anyone who looked good with flip flops. They're a really unfortunate kind of footwear.
