It was hard at first and i kept missing some letters to type, some are even HARD to type and the track pad seemed hard to navigate, but that was a couple of days ago. now i can really say this is cool even though my brother just let it borrowed to me.
there's a problem though, am literally using USB to use linux, while can't download, and watch movies on the net. well, bummer no wonder am kinda getting bored using internet.
but it's a little bit convenient because i can put it from one place or the other. I'd be cooler if i was using a tatoo stick
So, now am a laptop user

Hello CTHanum, If my brothers laptop is new then probably it would have worked but unfortunately it's an old one. i like typing in the Personal computer because it has been my convenience since i got it back in 2007. right now i don't think am motivated enough to use the internet because i couldn' t do anything else. have a nice day

I am using a netbook since I moved back to UK and that is even smaller than a laptop.
I use my mouse with it though and I am absolutely fine with it. I have been really hammering it over the last weeks and it is doing fine so far

When I first started using a laptop I hated the 'track pad'..It drove me nuts. I tried and tried to get used to it and finally gave up. I am now back to using my mouse and pefectly happy with it..of course I can't go everywhere and type with it but that's ok.

Yeah, you can use a mouse with your laptop. The problem is, you'll have an extra thing to carry everywhere and you would have difficulty using it in some locations. Example, using your laptop in a park bench. It would be an inconvenience using a mouse.

Hello haopee, This isn't the first time i've use a laptop because the work i used to work with has only laptop use instead of boldly new desktop. i haven't tried lying in the bed, but i fear it could cause trouble for the laptop. have a nice day

I switched to laptops a few years ago. I bought one as a backup to my desktop and when it got so old, I started using the laptop all the time. At first it was a real pain - as you aid, it's hard to type on it because it just feels different. I hate the touchpad and finally got a wireless mouse. Because it works on USB, I can use it with the laptop. It is nice to be able to take it in the other room so I can watch movies from the couch, listen to music in the kitchen or work in the office.

I have always wanted a laptop but not sure if I could get used to using one like my desktop either. I would love to be able to use it anywhere I wanted to though.

Hello Stephcjh, Well this is something that i should let you know, using a laptop has it's convenience but unfortunately i still love using the desktop because it's got more files to save and put into file. right now i am used to the laptop. have a nice day

It's just a matter of getting used to it. I had been using a laptop for more than two years and there's only one thing that I missed with the desktop and that's the number keys. it's just a torture to look for those keys in a laptop keyboard compared to a desktop. The track pad is another thing but you'll eventually get the hang of it in no time at all.

Hello ybong, yes i did get the hang of it. but it's not only for internet use as to why i prefer desktop more instead of the laptop. but so far so good i think in terms of using this kind of computer. yeah, the track pad is trouble some, my mom would give up on it if she get lost for not using the track pad as well.

Hello ddaguno, I really miss using my desktop, but I am getting close in terms of saving enough to get my earnings and have my PC restored again with a new motherboard and processor in place. right now am saving to buy a new motherboard and processor, and the computer shop that i went to has the good supplies for it. have a nice day

So now, you will start liking laptop than the traditional PC.
I also find it hard to use the track pad. I like using the mouse more , when at the office. It's more convenient and faster for me to use the mouse.

hello preraksmile, If the laptop is new that is. the track pad is really sensitive that it can be considered hard to use when youre not too careful. during the first hour it's really is hard to use it. but it didn't take long as youmentioned before it worked again. Have a nice day

I too always use my laptop but do not like to use the laptop key board. My hands somehow always hover over the pad and my cursor is all over the place. What I do is that I have a wireless key board and wireless mouse. So my laptop sits on a stand and all seems like a PC.
I also have a netbook, which I hardly ever use. I like the bigger screen and prefer the laptop over it.

Hello hardworking-gurl, That's right and same here i hated laptop keyboard too, got no clue as to why it's so hard to type in the keyboard of laptop. meh, for me it's impratical to use a keyboard and a mouse to a laptop that doesn't have that much features that i need. i wish i can buy a LCD screen one day.

Congrats, Letran! Especially for mastering the touchpad. I didn't make it. When I bought my laptop 3 years ago and I touched the touchpad - I was shocked :)) (My daughter had a good laugh!) The next day I bought a mouse and I was OK. Then I provided myself with a USB keybord because I work with a subtitling program and I have shortcuts on the numerical keypad. I don't want to change them, I've been using them for ten years.
So my laptop became sort of a hybrid but it's still an easy portable computer.

Hello fannitia, it wasn't easy and i needed much control of my hands keeping myself to it. now, that have been using the track pad for quite some time. bfore, i've always wondered about buying a new laptop but i missed playing my game for some reason. right now, once, i have restored it then i will take the chance of restoriing the game again. have a nice day

Hello Jricky, Laptop is good but if it's just for INTERNET surfing and not anything else then it would be just something that i would get bored with in the long run. well, yours must be new that's why it's a good thing to use. good for you though, have a nice day
