I just got hired today in odesk. Yihaa! Finally, after months of waiting, I finally got my first job in Odesk. I hope this serves as a new beginning of a new career for me. I am looking forward in making Odesk a full time job for me. I really do hope this first job will become a success. How about you guys, what were your initial feelings when you got your first job in Odesk or other freelancing sites?

i have heard about odesk long time ago. and i also wished to try getting on there. but on the other hand, i guess that it's not the one that suits me on. i mean, you know that i am not really a writer. and it's only mylot that accepts frustrated writers like me.
anyway, congratulations to your new job and best luck to your career.

I wasn't patient enough to wait the time I had to for any assignments on any freelance site. The couple of times I did get an offer was for something that seemed to be a scam. Since I'm a Notary they wanted some documents notarized and of course I couldn't do that without the person sitting in front of me. I don't know what those documents were going to be. I didn't want to get involved.
But I've heard people do well with things like that. I wish you the best as well.

Congratulations! I was happy, excited and nervous at the same time when I've got my first job in a freelancing site. Odesk is one trusted site wherein the possibility of having a full time online job is not slim. Do your best in your current work especially since the rating of your employer makes a difference on your Odesk resume. Goodluck and enjoy your new job! =)

Congratulations on the first assignment on Odesk! I wish you the best of luck there as I know it is a legitimate site and pays well. I hope that you have found a great full time job and I wish you the best there. I would like to work for some sites like this, but have not tried yet.

Hi Joiemarvic! Congratulations! That is just so great. I'm sure you'll be able to commence a new career and eventually make it full time!
Of course, when I got my first job on oDesk, I was so thrilled since I also experienced (and still continue to experience!) "declines" on oDesk which made me feel disappointed, especially when I wanted the job badly. Nevertheless, I just took everything in stride and thought that when I don't get hired, it's not really meant for me.
Anyway, I'm really happy for you and I hope things will work out well with you and your employer. Here's to landing more jobs on oDesk! Cheers! :)

I didn't got any job offer from those freelance sites though, and I didn't actually apply any one of them. So, what is your initial first job from odesk though. Does it pay good, and do you think it is too hard to accomplish? What will be the timeline to finish this job though. I hope that you can give me some clue, and I may try to apply those jobs there too.
