The fact that as a woman, we tend to use make-ups makes it difficult to avoid the mirror. infact, mirror is known or refered to as femine due to the tendecy at which females look at themselves. Now, the big question is CAN U STAY OFF D MIRROR FOR A YEAR?

It is just impossible, without mirror, how can you get to put on make up and cosmetic on your face, clean up your face, comb your hair or appreciate your self every morning or at night. You need to look at your dress every time you put on a shirt or skirt to see how good or bad it look on you, without mirror, you lose all the advantages. It is the same what a mirror can do for a man .

Mirror is important for someone who demand looking the best whenever he or she is outside. It play an important role in a man and a woman life, you should have no doubt about it. I am sure it serve no purpose for a man /woman who doesn't care much about her apperance in public and unkept hair. living without a mirror for a year make no difference at all. lol!

Being in a medical field--nurse, I can't. As a nurse. We should always make sure we are presentable for the patients and everyone in the hospital. We should be an example of good grooming and hygiene.

Pretty easy day to day, though whether I'd manage for a whole year I'm not sure. It's necessary to check my face is clean before I go out, but I guess my family could look at me and tell me that instead! I don't generally wear make up so that's not an issue, but if i wanted to change my earings or something like that I'd need a mirror.

I could give up makeup for a year, but not a mirror! I dye my hair too often, I'd look like a blotchy fool! hahaha

I could definitely stay away from the mirror for a year no problem. I know a lot of people can not though. I would still use makeup but guess.

Oh.. it's certainly not possible for me if I am still leaving in civilization, where you have to communicates with lots of people. But yeah if I am far away from civilization.. like in some small village or maybe jungle(lol) I can afford that. After all most of the time it's not for our sake but for others that we need to use the mirror!

A whole year without facing a mirror? NO!!! I could barely resist for half day! Plus I don't see any reason to avoid my reflection...I like it. I'm a beautiful young lady and I like to look at myself in the mirror, it makes me feel good. But even if I wasn't nice I would watch myself because at least I would try to understand what I could change... The most important thing is to feel comfortable with ourselves; after all, if you don't like yourself who on earth could? The problem is not the mirror, but what's inside our heads. Anyway i use very few make up because I usually see women who wear so much make up that when they take it off they look another person! This is just awkward!

thats a big challenge, justblack. my first thought was that it would be impossible, as when i get dressed in the morning how would i know whether what i was wearing would suit me or not. or how would i know, after i brushed my hair, if it looked right. or how would i know i didn't have a mark on my face, that i didn't know was there. but then maybe i am just too reliant on it. i remember when i was young, this was before people had mobile phones, i didn't have a watch, it broke or something, and so i used to find other ways of finding the time, like i would see clocks on buildings, or in the tube station, or a church, and i learnt which were reliable and which weren't. then i got a new watch, and used that for a while, but then that one broke too, (i have a bad habit of buying cheap watches) but i had forgotten all those other places where i could see the time, and i was completely lost, because i had become so reliant on my watch. so maybe we could live without a mirror for a year, if we learnt to rely on them less, and trusted our instincts, but we've just got so used to them. i might try it for a day and see what happens, though i don't think i could manage a whole year, as after my days experiment i am going to have to look in the mirror to see if i still look ok!

No, it's impossible to do so. Cos when I brush our teeth, I will need to look at the mirror to make sure that I am thorough in my brushing.

i think i can do it for i am a student. i don't care how other people look at me. now i just lack the money to buy fashion clothes and also cosmetics. what i can do now is to make myself clean and proper. i think what profession you are decides whether you should use mirror. if you a engiener who just need to do work of designing in the computer, you just don't need to use your mirror for you can see yourself in the screen.

No, going a whole year without a Mirror is too much! Like how would you manage doing your make-up or your hair without the help of a mirror. You would have to rely on other people to tell you what you looked like that day, or if your make-up looked good. And relying on other people to tell you how you look can be really hard, like if they tell you, that you look bad you'll be paranoid and self conscious the entire day. The most I think I would be able to go without looking in a mirror, is probably a day! lol

I can avoid using the mirror if only for the sole purpose of vanity because I can afford not putting makeup. But I have been very dependent with my contact lens because of my poor eyesight and I do not know how to put on the contact lens without looking at the mirror. This will make it very difficult for me to avoid the mirror.

I'm absolutely positive that I could not avoid the mirror for a month let alone a whole year :). A mirror helps me to keep myself looking presentable and nice. If I didn't have a mirror for that time I could go to a place with some type of food on my face and not even notice it, and look like a complete fool. I need and must have my mirror.
