Which laptop should I buy?

I am going to be purchasing a new laptop here in about 3 weeks and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts of some that I look into. So far, every computer that I have owned has been an HP, so of course I have been mainly looking at HP's. I was also looking at some of the models from AlienWare as well. They have some pretty bad a$$ laptops but they seem to be more for gaming, and I am not a gamer.
** I will be using this for work, and I will also be using it for school. Programming C#,Java,Html,JS,Sql, virtual environments, IDE's etc. **
Please provide some decent posts. Some good specs on equipment or links to suggested laptops would be awesome.
I would also like to hear some of the crap you have gone through on some laptops so I know what to look out for.
FYI: Not a big fan of Apple products in general. Just not very compatible with a lot of the stuff I do. This is not a brand bashing post either.

the first thing I will advise is to see all the shops and then choose laptops.
explore these laptops you like to ask what you want.
However the laptop will have to buy your works so that specialists Interrogate obast and will go wrong.
hopefully find the correct and proper laptop.

Since you are in programming stuff you do not need processors like the core i7 or its amd counterpart.
So the best option is to look for a core i3 laptop, with 4 GB ram and you will not even need a graphic card as the second generation core series processors from intel has on board graphics too and this is also available in most of the AMD chipsets.
You can opt for a dell inspiron as dell offers a cover warranty also.....

Hi techyhowto,
You must very careful to buy a new one.Try to buy maximum configuration .I mean if you buy a laptop its will work for your for a long year. you should check the processor is maximum GHz,Ram must be above 4 GB. Hard disk is above 1 TB. Also good LED monitor size 15 is best. Also extend the laptop warranty to 3 years or more so you are safe in compliance.
