I prefer to work at home as much as possible. But the earnings is not enough so I need to find a work sooner or later. What I like about a home based work is that I can handle my own schedule. I can wake up what time I like and I can eat whenever I like. I worked before in a company that is very strict in dress code and in scheduled breaks. There is no such thing as that in a home based work. Working at home is not that stressful unlike corporate jobs.

I am kind of in a same situation as you are. I am currently doing freelance work after resigning from my previous corporate job. In fact I am currently enjoying working freelance but earnings monthly is not as big as my previous pay in a corporate job. But somehow I am happier. Though social life is kind of lacking when working at home I must say hehe.
I hope you do find a decent earning in working freelance too. Good luck to us both!

I can spend a lot of time for my kids. And you don't have any immediate supervisor. Your the boss here. But ofcourse there are some of dis advantages in working at home.

i have never been able to work freelance, no 8 hour day job. i think i have not found the kind of job that would pay the bills and help me get through more than i could earn at the office. honestly, that would be better because as freelancer, you do not have to be stuck at work for 9 long hours, you do not have to spend transportation fee, you can work at your own convenience.

There are many benefits working home based than working at offices.
But of course it depends on how much you are earning too.
If you are earning good thru home based then, you are really lucky.
You don't need to wake up early and beat the traffic when you wake up late.
You don't have to buy many clothes for the daily dress code when your company doesn't requires uniform.
No hassles with co-worker and no boss to deal with.
have a good day

I am lazy to wake up in the early morning.
I don't want to spend another time while in traffic.
Being a freelancer is a kind of more easy access.
I could also do other things.
I hate the rules like you can't do the online thing like opening facebook and other networks.

Aside from the fact that it is very convenient, you don't have to "dress" yourself or be conscious about your looks. You also don't have to worry about getting hungry, just go to the fridge and you can already eat. If only there was a Work at Home program that pays as much as the regular jobs, I'd take it but I juggle the regular work and the Work at Home thing.
