I and my husband has been discussing about starting up a small business several months now. We're decided. It's just a small business with small capital to make some extra income off of it. Since we're living across a university, I thought of selling girl and phone accessories plus Tea Eggs which my husband cooks and so delicious. Any tips? Wish me luck!

What's a tea egg, my dear? Anyway, whatever you decide upon study the location first, your market, your capital, your overhead, your operating expenses and the return of your investments. When you plan well, you'll succeed with your plan! Simple!hihihi...

Hello there, tea egg is like penoy of the Philippines. Just that it's boiled with tea. And yes, I'm not that skilled yet when it comes to business but I'm positively sure that I'll figure something out upon starting. Thanks for the input!

Haha thanks kababayan! It's really foreign for Filipinos for tea eggs are Chinese food. My husband is a Taiwanese and he wants to introduce it to Filipinos. And yeah, we've experimenting already, like cooking and making our neighbors taste 'em and say something about it. They love it and the smell is great according to them. I and my sister will be hands on to the business. Ajah to us!

Just the fact that you live across a university is great: at least you know exactly who your target is, which is really important. Once you know who is the costumer, you can start to "study" it. Try to understand what they like or what they NEED: many of them surely live far from home.
Interact with them so that they will remember of you and if they'll like your husband tea eggs they'll surely talk about it with they're friends.
Spend a little money on pubblicity, for example leaving some papers in the university and so on...
I wish you good luck with your business! :)

Hi, congrats that you re going to start a business. If your business location is near the university than chances are your business is good. Besides selling Tea Eggs and phone accessories i would like to suggest that you have a small section for photostating, printing and faxing as it is very useful for the students. You can also have a section for name tags and also locksmith. Best wishes.....

Thank you. Those suggestions that you said is already crowding the place. But I'm thinking of doing that too as long as I have the capital. Thanks for the input!

Study the area, Look at getting your own website, A unique business name. Also cell phone accessory's and a restaurant don't really mix well. you have to do one of the other or both at different locations.
