It was a shocking news for all of us, as you may already read the news, Apple CEO Steve Jobs resigned as a CEO. I just wonder without his leadership and his vision, would Apple be as strong as before? Most people would discuss, the success of Apple computer with its famous products of iMac, Ipod, Iphone, and the latest Ipad are attributed to Steve Jobs great leadership. It become the second largest company worldwide. Now, He is about to step down, would Apple be that attractive as before? We have wait and see.

I don't see Apple become less then what they are, after all, he might not be the CEO but he will be on the board of directors and will still be involved. But, I feel that there are many great minds with many great visions that work for Apple. I believe Apple will be around for many years to come.

It is truly an end of an era in many ways. Steve Jobs played no small part in the success that Apple had and he has some big shoes to fill to say the very least. Hopefully future management is going to be able to step up and be able to to live up the standards that he has made. Whether or not you're a fan of Apple or not, one thing that we can acknowledge is that Steve Jobs is really a huge part of the success that Apple had.
Still life goes on with any corporations, as people have come and people have gone for sure. Therefore Apple will have to adapt and who knows, they might go to even higher heights. There are going to be a period of transition. Yet in the end, Steve Jobs was a huge part of the Apple team and that is going to be quite the act to follow. All we are going to do is wait and see.

I think that Steve Jobs is an amazing chap and he's done a wonderful job at apple and he's created some really great products. I think it's a shame that he's leaving the company but it's probably the best thing for him as I understand that he has been having some serious health issues and took some sick leave as well I think. I'm sure that he has mentored a lot of his colleagues to think the way he does so Apple will continue growing as well as developing new products.
I think he mentioned that he would be available for advice and would remain part of the company in some small way. I wish him luck he's definitely an inspiration to the world! Andrew

Apple has become what it is today because of Steve Jobs. I was surprised by the announcement since I thought it's a CEO of one of Apple's competitor after failing to catch up with the competition. My guess, before the announcement was an HP CEO but when the reporter said its Steve Job, I thought what!? I guess people have different reactions, to its competitor it's going to an opportunity but a great loss to apple itself. I think apple fans don't have to worry since Steve Jobs will still play a big role in the company. Let's just hope that he wins his battle with cancer since I think that's the main reason why he stepped down.

Ahhh you know, people come and go, so do companies.
A great era in the computer world has ended but I believe a new era is about to begin. I think Apple will survive, maybe they will take couple of knocks on the way but they have great products. I am sure Steve Jobs has prepared couple of new projects in the pipeline for the next couple of years.
Lets enjoy the changes and see :)

I can't tell for sure about what will happen next, only time can tell.
But I think, Steve already made Apple into strong and creative company.
At this time, with or without Steve, I think Apple still would be a great company
Anyway, Steve Jobs isn't completely resign from Apple. He's still a part of Company as Chairman of the Board.
And also, I think Tim Cook as new CEO would be make another great leadership and innovation. Let us see

steve jobs is instrumental in apple's business success. there is no doubt apple will not be the same without him. however, the company must move on because steve is stepping down. someone or the company itself must step up. apple will remain very successful for a decade, but after that when other companies seize innovative ideas, apple may lag behind.

Yes, no Steve Jobs, no Apple Inc. Though Steve is about to resign, the Apple has shaped its brand and idea. Roma was not built in a day, so it will not be destroyed in a short time. Just like the words Steve said in the letter of resignation:" I belive Apple's brightest and most innovative days are head of it". Steve has faith in Apple, and what about you?
