Been reading online about the possibilities if there are, about using Paypal without verifying it with bank accounts or cards. Honestly, I'm still not decided if I'll put my debit card on it since I've been reading complaints that they lose money from their account with Paypal. What do you think about this? Those of you who have been using Paypal, what are your experiences with it? Please enlighten me. :)

Hey! Well, I recently opened up a paypal account and it said I needed to hook it up with a bank account or credit card in order to verify it. I don't trust giving out bank details and I didn't have a credit card but I did have a prepaid visa! It's like a debit or credit card except you put the amount you want on the card. I was able to open my account with that even though paypal clearly said I couldn't. Best of luck for you! =D

Oh, good for you. I wish I have prepaid visa as well. I tried using my cash card but it was never accepted. Haha. We're you able to receive payments from that?

I see that you're from the Philippines as well, I'm from the Philippines too and I've been using Paypal for almost 2 years now. If you are reluctant to put your debit card on paypal, what I can suggest to do is to use an EON card from Unionbank. That's the card that I've been using to verify my paypal account and get money from it. Make sure though to put at least 100 pesos on the EON card when you first get it for paypal to verify the card. Then just check the EON card statement online and it will send you a pin, you may also call Unionbank for this, just inform them that you have signed-up for Paypal - they already know.

It would seem not. I joined paypal many years ago, and had to verify via my bank account. Now it seems that is not goood enough. They want me to attach a credit to it as well, which is very annoying, as my credit card is attached to another account entirely. I can log into my PP account, but not use it. I have to ring PP to sort this out. Does anyone know the Australian PP number, as I can't find it anywhere??

No you cannot withdraw your money to paypal. Absolutely you need to open an account for paypal and if you are here in Philippines you go to one branch of Unionbank open an account there and you will get your cyber account atm card.

I have had my paypal account associated with my credit card for years and I have had no problems at all. I withdraw my omney once in a while and it goes directly to my credit card. I have also shopped on line with no problem. I wouldn´t worry for paypal anymore that I would for a normal Bank.

I haven't used Paypal yet to transfer my earnings in there to my bank account. My account as of the moment in unverified and I don't have the means to verify it just yet. I am trying to check first if I can withdraw my funds in Paypal straight to my bank account as I have linked Paypal with one. I have read elsewhere that withdrawing from an unverified Paypal account to your bank account is quite possible. The only drawback is that there is a certain limit every month on the amount of money you can either deposit or withdraw to your Paypal account since it is still unverified. But I don't earn much from online and my funds in Paypal is not that big so I think I'll try withdrawing it first even if unverified. I hope it wil work. I will still withdraw my funds at a target accumulation earnings that I have to prevent some fees. You can see the limits of your Paypal account on your account to for information. Kindly correct me if I got some things misunderstood or wrong if some people shared you some information regarding this. Thanks!

I never tried it, but one friend of mine used her debit card then they deducted 10RM (3usd). But within a week the 10RM returned again. Maybe they only want to try if your account really working or not. That how they verify it? Well, maybe..

Yes you can make the paypal without the help of any debit or credit card. If you are an indian then you can create the paypal account with the PAN card you are provided with. If you are outside India then you will need the social security number or some thing like that related to the identity of yourself.

Hello, PayPal is not a bank but a company that serves like bank to send and receive payment through the cloud. It's a company with the largest network around the world I guess. In order to perform its service in transferring money, it really needs our bank a/c or credit card where it can transfer money to or from therein. So, it is reasonable if they ask our bank a/c or cc when we want to use its service. It is also secure because you don't need to expose your credit/debit card or bank a/c. to another party when sending or receiving money; paypal exposes only our email account to the sender or recipient. As an online freelancer I've been using paypal for years and found no problems with both my bank a/c and paypal accounts. Moreover, I didn't use any credit/debit card but a virtual credit card only to verify my PP account.:)

I opened up my paypal account many years ago. As far as to have a debit or a credit card to verify a paypal account is probably not necessary. But I think you need an ordinary bank account as a verification to be accepted to have a paypal account. My experiences with paypal is good. I've had safe and secure money administration with paypal.

I have been using paypal for years . It is as safe as you keep money in your bank account . You need to connect it with your bank account or credit . Mine is connected with the bank . Verification is necessary and trust me it is safe and secure .

Paypal is a payment processor,it is used to receive payments from different sites and then it transfers the money to you.So for the transfer there is need of either card or account. If you don't want to use the credit or debit card then you have to give the account details. And if you don't want to give the account details also then you just have to forget the money you earned..hehe:-)

Hi Ronadelle. You can use Paypal to receive money even if you don't give your bank account details. But when it comes to withdrawing or transferring your money to your bank, then you have to give them your bank details.
