Miss me? I miss work!

I've been out of work for three days, and friday I may not have to go in either as I am just "on call". Working only three days this week and I don't like it. I'd much rather be working, if not five hours like I'm usually scheduled, give me four hours, or have me work two inbetween the busy times etc.
I am glad I'm going back today, I was beginning to get used to being here and that is NOT good. I need SOMETHING to do, and work is just that.
I'll be asking for fulltime sooner then I had planned. I planned to wait three months as is usually requisite, but if they continue to schedule me like this, I'm going to ask for full time.
I'll even say I'll cross train and do different departmetns if I can get a few more hours!

I know it could be difficult being on call.
And I'm glad that you're taking the initiative to ask for being put on fulltime. I hope they give it to you. It'll be great to be not on the phone all the time. And the fulltime-money would be great.
I hope to see a discussion here about you being on fulltime soon!

They say when there is a problem it is important to not just present the problem but to offer a solution. You are doing that by offering to cross train. That will be great if you can get more hours.

I would be glad to have a job. I know you like to work but if they only need you the days they schedule you then that is the best they can do for you. I hope you can get the full time but you might have to wait for someone to go elsewhere before you come up for it. And if you are new that may be awhile. I hope you are ready for the wait.

Nice to hear how much you love your work. And true, when we are in the routine, taking a break from the work can make miss more. i felt it manytimes. Dedication to work and interests will pay a good future! All the best!

I think you really love to work. =) Being workaholic is tiresome but really great because we just don't spend our time for useless things, right? Sometimes we get tired of working full time and just wanted to have more rest. Then days later we changed our mind choosing to have busy hours working than having more free time. Life of workers are really like that. We sometimes need a break... ;

Yeah, it would be nice if you can get a full-time job. That would keep you occupied throughout the week, and make some good earnings too. But, still of course, one need to have some time to relax and have own time, right ? Good luck to you !

I am like that too. If I am not working and am at home for more than a couple of days, I feel I should be and would rather be working. I like to stay busy. I know that everyone needs a vacation every once in awhile, but if I am at home, I tend to go crazy and look forward to getting back to work. I guess it helps that I enjoy my jobs.

It is odd that you do not work 5 days a week. I am sure it is frustrating since you need the money. I hope you can full time so you can start saving up for things that are important. I wish you the best of luck.
