I think it's normal to feel abit embarassed when you are meeting someone you like for the first time. You are not alone, but you need to feel confident and know what you are going to say so you don't get nervous and shy. I think you should talk about shared interests? If you know that you have any? If you share classes and colledge or have mutal friends try to find something she will relate to. Also don't take it to seriously, girls can sense nerves and they are usually attracted too cool kids.
