So, better set your profile as "private profile" so your dad won't be able to view information about you. When he send you a "friend request", do not accept/approve it. If asked, just say you are not doing Facebook anymore.

Funny and true as my daughter immediately friended me, but as for my son though we have a wonderful relationship has had me in pending for over 2 years. lol I completely understand and not so much that he does not want me to see his status, but more so he does not want his Mommy on his profile for the world to see me making loving remarks. At least this is what I comfort me with. lol

ahehe how old are you? and well why not let him know your relationship status? is it because your relationship is kept from your parents?nahh do not do that.. i think your dad is cool, he has an fb and im sure he is also very open about stuffs because he is able to accept fb in the first place, right? ;)
good luck!! hehe

I have 2 grown kids, and they are on my friends list, they don't care what I see, or don't see.. I have 3 grandkids under the age of 18 on facebook, which I set up all the accounts for them..
It is about keeping in contact with our family and friends. There are choices on Facebook, you don't have to post everything you do on your page, you can PM people.
and if you do post things public oh well...
I also don't think laughing because you did not add your DaD is funny. What do you have to hide? And do you not respect him? I am not trying to be Rude here.
But Facebook may have gotten out of hand somewhat.
Oh and don't forget when looking for a job, now a days a new possible employer will be Trolling the Internet, looking to find out more about you, than just what you said in the interview, and on the Application.
So if you want to see it all as a joke, Well as you said """"hahahahahah..
