I get news updates from a local news channel and I got one yesterday that I just shook my head on. A 95 year old man was stung 200 times by bees. He just happened to be walking down an alley where they were fumigating bees and they got him. The poor old man is hospitalized in stable condition. I hope he makes it. It would be awful to live that long and die from something like that. Now they have that area cordoned off while the bees leave to look for a new hive.

If they were fumigating, how come the bees didn't die? I was just curious. I feel bad for that poor man too. I can not even imagine what he is going through. I know just being stung by one bee is not good. The sting then the massive swelling and itching. I hope they have mittens on his hands. I'm sure he wants to scratch every spot. Best Wishes!

I guess it was some type of spray that doesn't kill the bees but just makes them leave. They should have cordoned the area off when they started then nobody would have been hurt.

Oh this is sad to hear, poor man. Having reached his 90's and to experience this has to be so difficult to understand. I do hope he recovers nicely and can live out the rest of his life without any types of such type incidents. Sad that he after all the years something like happens.

Oh poor old man. Didn't they cordon the place while doing the fumigation. There should have been a warning sign.
I just hope he will will be okay soon.

That's horrible! Especially for one so old! It is bad enough to get stung by a single bee when one is in peak condition, but under these circumstances it must be a thousand times worse. I to hope that the man will be fine. However his recovery may take some time considering his age. At least he was the only person to get "mass stinged."
