Today I was at the supermarket and I saw a lady. I didn't at first know who she was. Then she said hello to me and explained that she had seen me at my disabled son's new school. Her little boy is the same age as my disabled son. I remember I saw her, two other parents and three children. It was to play at the children's new school. She and some of the other moms will become my friends.
Where have you met new friends?
Are you friends with any of your kid's parents?
What do you most like about finding new friends?

I'm a friendly person and I can have friends easily just by smiling at them and when they smiled back then we'll start then the conversation. Just like what other casual talks. Even I'm in a bus or in a park I can easily meet new friends and that's what I call "my talent."

It is nice to find people that have a lot of the same interests as you. It will be good to have more friends. I am friends with some of them.

We started homeschooling around 2 years ago. It isn't very common in India and hard to find play groups for my younger one and older groups for my older son.
But in the past few months, I've been getting in touch with other homeschoolers in India and have been making new friends with other like minded homeschooling parents. Plan to meet them within the next few months since we live in different states.
I've always made friends with at least 2-3 parents whose kids were friends with my kids.

I have made new friends all over the place lol. Recently I have made new friends and anime conventions in both Pittsburgh and Baltimore. I am very excited to make new friends and be able to meet new people with the same interests as myself.

It's great to make new friends wherever it may be. For me, I find it hard to meet new people and meet new friends.
At my kid's school there are parents that I see regularly, their faces are familiar but they are really not friends.
I've recently launched a business which forces me to go places and meet new friends. I still have to go on one of these meeting places, and I'm excited to meet people!

Friend I am less talkative women so it is hard for me to make new friends immediate. But if someone is asking something to me and talking with me then I will talk with them.

Hi maximax8, I could make new friends easily wherever I'm
Nowadays my kids have grown up and I rarely have chance to meet his friends or colleagues parents for he works in outstation. If having to meet any of them it's sure that I will be friends with them. I like to share whatever I know with friends with common interests. I have met some new friends recently at the park when having morning walk
We chat and walk briskly at the same time

I am aquaintences with some of my kids parents but we don't all talk on a regular basis or anything outside of school events. I used to see them more before the kids took the bus but them taking the bus saves me gas money.
Otherwise I've met new friends at work, however it's rare I hang out with anyone as atleast one person thought taking my son with us would be a nusance (even if her kid is in school I still have one who is not).

I have many work friends and a lot of friends who I see from time to time but, mainly I have 3 close friends who would always be my first port of call! As I don't have children I do not obviously meet up with parents at schools but, I imagine it is nice for you to get to know the parents of your sons school friends

Two of my closest friends that I get along with the best are parents that I met at my children's school. One guy is a friend that I have a lot in common with. We met maybe 8 years ago when our kids were in pre-school together. We hit it off immediately as we shared a common love of motorbikes, so we had that to talk about. Our kids went to school together for a year or so until we left that school, but we have kept in regular contact ever since.
Another friend is the parent of my daughter's best friend. He also shares a love of motorbikes, but is also a vegan who is into organic gardening and permaculture like me so we always have plenty to talk about and share with each other.
These stories are just another benefit of being a parent. Gotta love kids!

I have met new friends here at Mylot. In the process of interacting through discussions and responses, often I have encountered some whose way of talking or perspectives I really liked and whose thoughts I found were on the same wavelength as me.Being here for about 3 years now,I have made a lot of friends from different countries and it is really interesting to know about different cultures and different people and different viewpoints but at the core of it I like people who have a humanitarian zeal and kindness for others. Some people whom I found rude I never talked to them again but mostly I have met nice people.
I have made new friends in my college days too. There were people from different schools and we were all huddled together into one classroom on the first day. Then came our seniors-the second year batch who,in the name of interaction, just wanted a bit of fun by making some new students sing, some dance and some act different things. In that process we were all worried as to whose turn would come next and what would be demanded of him or her. Therefore through this incident too and in the process of worrying over who would be the next victim,I made friends.
The thing I like most about making new friends is that I get to know people with different ideas, perspectives and opinions. When we share those we learn more and in this way we grow.
Thanks for this discussion.Hope both you and I will make many more new friends in our lives.
Have a nice day!

Friend I am the most popular women for making friends means I make friends anywhere in the train, in exam hall, in function anywhere because when I talk to anybody or anybody talk with me I said some funny word like wow you are looking so good any good words so the person who meet me lady or girl immediate tell me wow your nature is and then we are the friends. I can make new friends anywhere.

Hi maxi,
it is a pleasure to get new friends. It also happens to me. I go to morning walk. The park is very big. Sometimes I met there my old friends. We remember past days and become nostalgic. My friend it is really very delightful to meet with friends. But you are telling about new friends. They are my new colleagues. When I meet with them some where out of my office they cordially receive me.
