The Oracle company who had always been in view due to its big hand in database has now bought sun Microsystems. SO now what do u think will be the java's future. And since java's father james gosling has also left sun(now oracle), so what do u think will be the new development in java. Till now sun had launched many version of jdk and had developed and brought many new features. But what next? All java programmers are requested to present there views.

In my view Java will have no negative effect since Oracle is not small company to buy sun microsystem I think Java will grow fastly since Oracle has enough strength to nourish Java ..... But yes its growth may slow down a bit till oracle makes a good grip of sun microsystem ....... Hare Krishna Ganesh

Either Oracle are going to show some common sense, or we will see a new "Open-java". Much the same has happened with those who tried to commercialize Linux. Hopefully java will remain free and continue it's development as before. One man doesn't make java so James is free to do other things. I'm sure that we will see him involved in something worthwhile!
