Who among you still keep a hard copy of pictures taken in your cameras? When I was still a child, I remember how they value every moment or every second of our life. There are picture when you are practicing to walk or to read and count. There are pictures during your birthday or just a casual trip or get together. And those pictures are all kept in photo albums. Now, I knew people who doesn't keep photo albums. Rather, they use social networking sites like facebook where they can upload the pictures and just tag the people who are in the picture.
Mylotters! Do you keep a photo album still?

You sure have to keep a back up. Just a contingency plan because your computer might just crash or get infected by a virus. Or better yet, equip it with a very strong anti-virus.

I have photo albums from years ago. But now, no I don't get new physical photo albums currently. Truthfully, I used to keep all my pictures and videos solely on my computer. But I can tell you I learned my lesson there the hard way a few years ago when I lost hundreds (or maybe even a thousand or two---I take a lot of pictures lol) through computer crashes.
Now, I do have photo albums but again not physically. I keep all my pictures on a site called Snapfish which fortunately allows free unlimited uploads for pictures and albums and my videos on a private Youtube account.
Of course I have wondered what would I do if, say, said sites closed down or something.
But admittedly I have thought about actually getting at least certain pictures printed for albums and into photobooks or something.

I remember a situation that happened maybe a year or two years ago which is quite similar to a computer crash. I used to keep my files in a flash disk. Then, I got a virus in the disk that erased all my pictures and other files. It's a good thing that I was able to retrieve some data. But the others were permanently gone. I was so depressed during that time.

No, I don't have a photo album. I am concerned about what will happen to the digital photos. I can imagine that in a few years time, there will be no way to see them. Rather like vinyl gramophone records, CD's will become obsolete too! Our future generations are not likely to see us.

Then the pictures now in the digital world should have a hard copy. There should be some way on how we can preserve those pictures. Because if there is none, the future generation won't even know how their ancestors look like.
