I'm really annoyed with my school. They have not yet suspended our class even if the rain and wind is really strong, like really really strong. An umbrella will be no match. The roads are flooded and I live more than an hour away. I just checked their websites and there are still no updates about it. So yea I'm not going. I hope you guys are having a better day.

I think that is just silly to expect people to still go to school in conditions such as this. That the type of storm that no one can really travel in. So I really don't understand why they would even chance the safety of the children. The buses nor parents can drive safely.

you should have not gone to school in the first place when you feel the weather is not good. i think it is really the parents to decide first before they have to wait for the announcement of suspension of the classes.

Well, we're from the same country, and what would you expect?! They are always like this. It's either they won't suspend classes even if it's raining cats and dogs, because apparently there's no signal, or they will wait until lunch time to suspend classes when most of the students are already in school. That's how they work it and they must change for people's sake! Well, I hope you arrive home safe. Take care.

The weather today was pretty warmer than those pleasant weather we were having for a few weeks. I hope it doesn't start burning again
Seriously, the weather this year seems to be bugging most of us in different places.
Anyway we had this heavy crazy rainfalls this year and we had to go to school too but about 2 months ago they gave us holidays for 2 days coz reaching school was really difficult. I mean all the roads were flooded and crazy.
Anyway I hope the weather gets better there

Some schools actually have exams today, basically, it's raining like crazy outside, there are winds that could blow you away and floods all over the metro and the worst part about it? Its a Sunday! I wish schools would make up their mind and prioritize the safety of the students.

I would love a little bit of that flood here in triple-digit drought dry Texas.
Unless I could literally put a boat on the street in front of my school, I doubt they'd cancel classes. Even then they'd probably just expect us to take the boat to class.
But I doubt they actually expect you to swim. Maybe conditions aren't that bad where your school is and so they don't think it's a problem? If there's still no updates, then just call in and say you can't come cause the roads are flooded.

Even if there is flood in our school class will not be postponed students have to bring boat to sit in class, so far as i know our school doesn't give much of a leave, maybe even conduct special class to attend, when i was at the time of school day i hate to go back to school every morning i get this laziness over me, i think everyone experiences school day as one tough situation to deal with all those exams and not a day without burden to study.

Yes it does sound heavy and I would not take a chance either. So good idea to stay home and one day will not make such a big difference. Hopefully it will let up and the next day will be much better for you.
It it evening here and no rain in sight so far. Have a good day off today.
