I believe in friendship. I take it very seriously- so I dont have a whole heap( or alot) of friends. I try to chose friends very wisely so now that I'm living in a spanish country( and I'm english) I find it hard to make friends in the sense of selecting but it actually is easier to be friendly because of so many persons trying to help you learn the language. So how do you select true friends in a different culture?

In my opinion, culture should not necessarily matter. As to whether how much culture would be a factor to you is always up to you. Selecting friends - regardless of anything - is important. Do they make you a better person? Are they the type who would be with you when you're happy and also when you're sad? Are they really friendly or just being friendly? Are they simply fascinated by someone who is not a native in their land? Would they be able to handle your worst? Put yourself out there, try studying who and how you are parallel to people of different kinds.
Don't lose yourself. But maybe, this is a chance to open another part of you that you never knew was there. Good luck ;)

culture or language it's different but in the end we are just one, we are all the final output of creation of god. so never get tired of searching "true" friends. because I believe that friends are easy to find but true friends take time to search.

It`s really hard to find real friend, but when you do you just feel it.I don`t know how i can select them..they do it by themselves, the choose me.I have a lot of friends, but I know that only a few of them are real, the other ones talk behind my back and jealous..I`m a communicative person so I make friends easily.Life is pretty easier when you have friends to help you go trough it.

I don't take friends that seriously. For me, friends are all about having fun but in the end, you're really still on your own. You make your decisions when the day ends. Your friends can alter them but I'd rather decide on my own. That doesn't make me regret anything at all.

Hi there,
I don't have a whole lot of close friends or big group of friends. I'm mostly a loner and have a few friends , mostly one or 2, it depends. I do try to chose friends carefully but I've been hurt by many people whom i did consider friends. Selecting true friends in a different culture, well just get to know them and their culture and personality. Just know your limits on friendship.

Find true friend among friends? Well ... only time can answer your question. I don't have that kind of standard but if friend of mine betrayed me or make me in "BIG TROUBLE" situation, I gonna marked them as untrusted friends
