Hey guys, I just want to ask if you are satisfied with your current Internet Service Provider? Right now, I am currently using Smart broadband Internet here in the Philippines.
I admit I am satisfied with it, but not very satisfied as I expected. The reason why is because sometimes especially at night, the internet connection becomes so slow. I got a bandwidth of up to 2 Mbps. I used the internet mainly for work purposes.
Also, when I used my e-mail using Microsoft Outlook, I am able to receive mails, but I cannot send e-mails. It is weird though. I tried using their own outgoing mail sever (ISP) with default SMTP port, but still with no success. I have tried contacting my internet service provider and talked multiple times with different agents, still with no success. They have instead encouraged me to use their own mail sever domain which is of no use because I am using my company’s mail server domain.
Right now, so far I have not encountered any problems with my internet connection. But perhaps in the future, if there would be.
How about you, are you satisfied with your current Internet Service Provider? Have you also encountered any problems that up until now were not solved even when contacting their technical team?

So far I am satisfied with my Internet Service Provider. Being me, I know the flaws in which most of these companies have so I always taken care of my technical issues as long as its not a server outage. Sometimes, they would have this occassional interruption on the service but I'm good with it since I have also experienced this on other companies. I never call technical support on any companies, I just know that they are all useless since none of them would really give a damn about you. They would rather just take care of their call metrics than actually help you out plus they have a low salary compared to those working for International accounts so I give them a break.
The peak hours and the summer time is usually slow but again, this is the norm for most ISPs. What I like about my ISP is the dedicated connection from 12 AM to 10 AM and during that time, I get the full power of my connection in which I can download files at 250 KBPS. The subscription I have with my ISP also comes with a free account for Iwanttv.com.ph, this means that I can watch the local channels using my connection and not only that, the re-runs of the shows that my wife loves is also available for viweing on a later time. This is very convenient for the both of us.
