I have noticed that some friends of mine in facebook are really annoying. There are some who are so obsessed about their looks and upload a lot of pictures with the same background, the same face but just a different angle. I mean seriously, they don't need to upload all of it. JUST PICK OUT ONE! There is also someone who keeps on posting about going to a well known coffee shop almost everyday! It gets really annoying cause you know that she's just doing that to show off. And there's this one person who takes pictures of all the things she shopped for just because it's a well known brand and she keeps on bragging on how exhausted she got from shopping! Do you get annoyed with these things too?

Ha ha! Yep, there are a lot of annoying posts from our Facebook friends . . . but I figure that's just "them" in Facebook world - they can do whatever they want. I probably overkill on news and photos about my kids . . . that's what I feel like sharing - and it's everyone's choice to look/comment at my stuff or not.
I am annoyed by one friend who posts a daily pic of herself - and you just know she took the pic by herself. Another friend posts like 20 times a day . . . like I really want to hear that she just came out of the shower. Another one posts all these political links that I'm into. And I'm sure there's more (after a while, you tend to just ignore the annoying ones that get in a pattern).

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one annoyed :) haha Maybe facebook makes us all vain and self obsessed at times due to the publicity that you get every time you post something.

This happens on my list often. I wonder how they get so much time to update every moment. Probably too much addicted to the site may be.LOL.

haha then that makes me think that I visit the site too much to be able to notice the things going on each day.:) I should really minimize facebooking.

Well in my case, I really do not mind them at all. Facebook is actually a social site and I guess there is no rule or policy that prohibits such actions. People have a different way of expressing themselves and I respect that. Perhaps that is their way of showing what they are and sharing to people what they have. You can simply ignore those that you do not like and like those that you really like.

Yes I am aware that it is their choice and freedom and yes ignoring should do the job :) thanks for your response

Yep sometimes i feel the same and i would say my advice personally while commenting on their photos. But good that most of them take my advice and do remove it. Thats so nice of it!

Thats true too..We cannot expect them to listen. I would suggest hide them on your newsfeed. I remember i had a friend, who was same..i think i have hidden her and totally forgot she is on my list.LOL. But honestly i accept some people are there in Facebook who are bit annoying!

that's great that they listen to you . I don't really know what to tell them since I don't want to offend them. In order for me to tell them, they must be my close friends so that they won't take it so hard.

i guess sometimes, we just get jealous of what we don't or can't have that we see from others who are close to us. we just can't get over of what we have been dreaming of having but it's just too difficult to achieve, yet it seems so easy for others. take away your jealousy, take a picture of your food today and post it. even if it's just a noodle with egg. even if it's just a tuyo (dried fish) with fried egg, post it. and brag that it is your favorite food. it's a matter of choice. as long as you can do it.

Well maybe other people get jealous but in my case I just get really annoyed on how self consumed some people get. I don't really take it to the next level. Now, I just hide their feeds so I won't have to see it everyday...

I understand how you fee because I felt the same way before. Some of my friends feels like Facebook is their diary. They post almost every little thing in their life. I also got annoyed with things like these however it is their freedom. That is why I don't open Facebook that much. I don't want to be irritated with these things.

That is true. Some of them think that it is a diary but you know, it could be really dangerous for them if they keep everything public.

I so know what you mean. They actually think it's kinda cute that they're posing like that. And posing in front of a coffee shop? I love coffee and coffee shops but that's just stupid.
I don't have a lot of friends who do this to their profile pics on Facebook. I'm thankful for that, but I do come across a profile pic of someone I don't know and it looks like one of the ways you describe them. It's horrible, superficial, immature, and they obviously don't have anything worthwhile to do.

absolutely...oh yeah and I just remembered one of my friends who keeps on taking pictures of herself with absolutely the same facial expression on every picture which is scrunched up nose, squinted eyes and a wicked smile..creepy.. I'm just saying..

That is what Facebook is for them. A site to show off in the world. And if you will ever try to show off, of course you will put the ones which should make others feel that you are in a great state. That is human nature. I do get annoyed at them once in a while but it is much better to ignore them. It happens even in the real world. Just live with it or if not, delete them as your friend or better yet leave Facebook at that or simply ignore them.

Ofcourse I don't get annoyed, I love my friends and i love they do. Facebook is all about flaunting what you got, if you have it then flaunt it. There is nothing wrong with that, posting where the go and all the shopping picture. I don't do that I just think it's fine.
I hope soon, you'll not feel that way instead be happy for your friends, if you treat them as your true friends not just a facebook fake friend.
ave a nice day

I love my friends too but not all my friends in facebook are my close friends and there are those that just annoy me at times. I am also not implying that because they post things like that, I dislike them already. I'm sure there are also people that annoy you..

Facebook is really annoying, sorry not facebook, the People on facebook makes it so.
I sometime cannot understand how some people post each and every detail on facebook. example, we find status like, 'Hey, going to take shower'; 'Ah i am bored, now watching movie'; 'Can't Sleep', Going out'.
I mean you can even track daily and future activities of one person from facebook, and because of this many events are happening.
As to pictures, yes you are right, one place 100 pics all with weird looks, and adding on this weird comments on those pics.

Well yes, things like that can be very annoying. I have several friends who'll post on their walls on what they had for lunch or what they'll be having for dinner, or some famous places they've visited and they'll just post on where they are and so on with the photos attached. They tend to do things like that which is annoying, actually

you're right! it just goes on day by day. But then the only thing we can do is delete them or hide their feeds.

haha ohh i thought of the things, too. i guess that's just how it is for some who likes to parade whatever they are doing, posting pictures in facebook for every meal they eat, every place they have been to.. even how their animals sleep for goodness' sake!!
those people who keep on tagging themselves, and keeps on checking themselves in places they are even if its a freaking park!! whoa.

Hi, enaid_osnam. Welcome to myLot! Yes, this is the main and first reason why I don't remain active on Facebook. It is because of things like this. People will just brag about what they have and what they don't have. It can be very annoying. I don't know why people feel like they have to show off all of the time, because most of them probably don't got it like that anyway. Mostly of them may do, but the majority of them may be getting help from their parents, friend or lover. Who knows and who cares!!! Facebook is a very interesting site, but when you have competitors, haters, braggers, boasters, violent and hateful people it makes this site seem so out of control.
