i have seriously said to myself, NEVER will i put any tatoo on my body, not even a dot. I just don't like putting something permanent in my skin...
im not sure if its just me scared to try the needle or just me simply thinking or feeling that putting on one might actually make my skin look dirty (no offense meant to those who have tattoos.)
but anyway, if you haven't got any... will you try or have you thought about it? what will you put in your skin and why?

No. I never thought of putting tattoo in my body even a single dot even if its not exposed. No offense for those who have tattoos too, I just don't like it. I feel I would look dirty if I have a tattoo on my body. I would also have a hard time looking for a job because there are jobs who do not want employee with a tattoo. Another reason is that I'm so girly that's why I don't want to have it on my skin although there are girls who has tattoos. I've heard of this glow in the dark tattoos. There is this girl who has this kind of tattoo. Its not obvious in the morning. You really won't see it but if you put her skin under a UV light,(I wasn't sure if its a uv light) it glows. You can really see it. It looks cool but I still don't like it especially because its permanent and yes, others do say that it looks dirty. :D anyway, that's all. Happy mylotting. :D

wow bianca, that is the first time i heard something about what you said for the kind of tattoo your friend has. i think this is not yet available here in our country... is that permanent? if it is then it is something new to me. I only know of some pens when used in skin, it kinda glows.. i do not know there is something like that that is permanent... =) thank you for your response. be blessed!

I don't think that I would. I have never been fond of them. I don't care of someone else has one and I understand that to some people it is art on the body, but like my body the way it is. I would never tatoo it or pierce it. If I ever were to do it, it would be something very small maybe down by my ankle so that I could hide it if need be, but I really don't think I ever would get one.

Hi Chiyosan! I will never put any tattoo on my body. It is not that I'm against to those people who have tattoo. But in my opinion, I feel like tattoo looks very dirty. Also I'm afraid of needles puncturing my skin a lot of times.

Hi absinto, well that is what i meant, i mean it does look dirty if the person wearing it does not even know how to care for the tattoo. yes it is permanent, it is something that reflects what you are - as youhave said so yourself it is a form or art, an expression. But for others who have put on a tattoo on themselves without consideration, not well thought of... i think really that is something that irks me. i am not against anyone who wants to put one, but what i think is that it just does not look good on the skin.

They aren't exactly a dirty thing. They may not look like it but it is a form of expressing art and mostly all tattoos have a meaning to the person that have them.
It is dangerous to those who dont know how to take care of it. You need to have special care for you skin for some weeks before it is completly healed. And usually people should find a tattoo shop that have all the certifications to make tattoos and that get good recommendations.
I do not agree on getting a tattoo just to get one, that is, what you call something dirty because you are putting something permanent on your skin, they should put something that has alot of meaning.
I for one have 2 tattoos but both do have meanings.

I actually have a tattoo already, it's my wife's name and it's written across my heart. Sound cliche but it's true. Before I got my tattoo, I kept thinking to myself that I would never waste my skin on those so called art unless they matter since I will be wearing them permanently. When I met my wife, I already decided on what I should wear permanently and that's her name. I plan to put my Kid's name next, maybe next month.

@ goggles213, that's indeed a great tattoo to have. i myself won't ink my body with the name of my wife. i will gladly do it to have my daughter's name though.
i agree with enigma, it is cheesy but a very sweet gesture indeed!

Yes! I also am a sucker for guys with tattoos. I've been meaning to get a tattoo but can't. 1. I want to work abroad and most countries don't accept workers with tattoos. 2. I don't have the budget yet. If I'm going to finally have myself inked I would want it to be done by a professional and highly recommended artist.
I want to have my mom and dad's portraits tattooed on my right sleeve. I also want a dream catcher on my hand with it's feathers draped on my fingers. Tattoos are slowly becoming an acceptable art form. This fact can't change people's perception about it overnight though.

hi enigma13.
that's a great idea for a tattoo, the dream catcher on your hand with the feathers draped on your fingers will put a nice effect to it so to speak. if you do get that tattoo done, do post pictures of it here in mylot.
cheers!!!

Hi chiyosan
A lot of people try to express their personality through tattoos. In my case I'm not interested putting tattoos in my skin.:) Yes, others think that it's an art so I do and respect their fashion also.:)
Have a great day..^_^

Oh been always scared of needles and the pain that it causes, so obviously never going to have a tattoo myself! But yeah I actually like tattoos on others especially colored ones, they look cool though tattoo all over someone's body is really ugly!

i am afraid of the tattoo needles too, i have heard a lot of infections caused by it, though so i am quite hesitant to have it for myself. i am also kind of scared of seeing others hurt as i think it is a bit too much of a sight, with the blood and all...

I personally don't have anything against Tattoo,I even have one on my arms.I did this tattoo when i just graduated high school,at first i like tattoo.
Now i wish my could remove mine,Because people just put them all over their body and make them look wearied.I like to see small tattoo, they are cute.
But overall people wear tattoo on their body to express them self and their way of living.
And i have said to my self one is enough, and i don't want any more.

hi there tash, thank you for sharing. :) i think that its true if tattoo covered the whole body already, it won't look really nice. for me that's true and well that is of course only my opinion. :D
Also i am afraid i might change my mind whether i want it or not so i guess i just won't have something on my skin,...

I think tattoos are ugly so I wouldn't get a tattoo. People can do what they want with their bodies but tattooing is not for me. A lot of people get them because they are pressured by friends. Tattoos used to have meaning but I don't see meaning in skulls, naked women, and cartoon characters.

hi blue goblin, yes tattoos are such big symbols for some cultures, like only warriors are to be given tattoos to signify how they fought for their tribes and so on. I do think that what you said about some people who only wanted to put tattoos just because they think it is cool... it is their decision, right but i guess one must always think first before they should decide on putting something that permanent. thank you for your participation.

I Don't have any tattoo but I really like to try to have one but it doesn't suit to my profession if somebody sees it. I really think it is cool, opposite of your thought. If you don't like permanent and needle try using Hena tattoo. It is not permanent, just like a paint. I haven't thought of a design that I like because maybe I would never get a tattoo, well who knows when the situation comes.

Hi Chiyosan..
I have thought about this for many years, and although I do STILL want a tattoo- I think thats its best for me to wait.. I mean Im 23 years old.. what If I dont like it in 10 years time or even worse I get older and my skin begins to sag- so will the tattoo LOL..
So..instead.. Ive had my eyebrow pierced.. and most recently, the side of my LIP!!! It looks awesome.. LOL.. *I did it for a laugh* turns out I LOVE IT-ha ha..
I will wait to have a tattoo.. and if I still want one in a few years, then maybe Ill think of actually having it done..

Hi stowyk..
Thats a great suggestion but in all fairness I have a design in mind.. its not that big and extravagant..its something that is VERY personal to me..
Its just the thought of having something that will remain on my skin permanently.. I mean there are ways of having it removed but there is not much point having it in the first place *in my opionion*..I also agree that your daughter was sensible in the fact she got a small one at first.. shes a smart girl..

Hi chiyosan!
I would never have a permanent tattoo, ever. But I like to have henna tattoos once in a while especially during summer. I had henna tattoos before, tattoos of flowers, vines, lightning (at least it looked like lightning to me), and a Japanese character that stands for I Love You. ^^ I like having tattoo because it's like a piece of art that I wear on my skin which I can show off especially during summer when you can't avoid to show some skin! But I don't like it to be permanent because there will come a time that it would feel like something like a dirt so I only get henna tattoos which are temporary.

Well, it has never came into my mind to a put a tattoo on my body. I guess, I just am not into such idea. I think I can tolerate the pain, so it not because of the pain but rather, its more of a personal reason. I am not saying that wearing a tattoo is bad, other people look good having a tattoo. But I just could not imagine having one on my body.

I am not a person that would be comfortable adorned with a tattoo. It is a permanent symbol and if i did not want it anymore it would be hard to get ride of. Some people wear tattoos well and often have very interesting ones. i will leave the tattoo wearing to them instead.

I haven't got any tattoos , but want to. I don't like big tattoos,in my opinion they are too showy. I want to have a small one, which will be there to remind me something. I think it is stupid to put a tattoo on your body ,if it doesn't mean something for you. Something important - which will be important after 20 years just like it is now. Doesn't matter what is it ,but it matter what means for you.

hi there niq. it is really hard, i guess to be putting a tattoo, yes of course unless it is what meant to you. i have seen others and that they have tattooed foreign characters in their skin only to find out that the meaning is not what they know. :D ha ha those are just funny things and well it is actually rare but it happens. ;) always just be careful what you permanently put inyour skin.
