.As nowadays everybody has their own cellphones. Before there will be one mobile in a family for all the persons. But now each had their mobile for their personal use. In my home me my brother , my mom , my father every individual had their mobile in hand. At last two months before my father think that landline is useless for this home and we pay monthly rental 250Rs. So he decided and now we dont had landlines. How about in ur home ? R u still having ur old landline ringing phone in ur home?

I got my first cell phone about 22 years ago. It was few days after I turned 18 & now I'm 40. I haven't really used land-line since then. I've always had land-line avaliable because of internet, back then I had dial up & when I switched to DSL about 7 years ago, verizon told me I needed a land-line. I have an answering machine & my laptop hooked up to it & a kitchen phone. I keep the house phone around for my daughter.

Hi naseemkum, In my family we first brought a single cell phone for all our usage then we brought a landline for home usage. Now everyone in my family has brought a cell phone and usage of landline has gradually decreased, in our house we still keeping the landline phone because of my broadband come along with it. Other than that we have no use with it.
