Having a big heart to CONQUER the UNKNOWN.

In the year 1947, a man started a small vegetable oil company from his old mill. Indeed, a humble beginning.When he died in 1966, his 21-year-old son, Azim Premji, then an Electrical Engineering graduate took on the leadership of the company, Wipro by name. Back then in 1977, when emerging technology was mesmerizing the humanity, yet still ignorance to majority of the people, Azim repositioned his company towards technological areas, not knowing what prospects the unseen future holds. Amazingly, starting from there, the rest is history. At present Wipro is worth billions of dollar and diversified into many branches, prominently-Information Technology. Today, Wipro is the largest independent provider of R&D Services in the world. It has also become the world’s first PCMM Level 5 Company. Accepting and living with what we know is a common human nature. There we find comfort and assurance. And for sure, the peace of mind. But life is too short to be little. One mistake we can do in life is to accept the known and resist the unknown. Rather it should be opposite- challenge the known and embrace the unknown. Wipro would have just been a traditional oil company or maybe closed down by now if Azim didn’t spread out the wings and fly into to the unknown, then the emerging technology. Christopher Columbus would have never discovered and seen the ‘New World’,the North-America, if he had not sail off to the unknown territory. Rapid changes is the trademark of this modern era; societies. To cope up with this inevitable changes, no doubt, we need to change. If not, we may become extinct, outdated or merely existing. To overcome them, we need to have a big heart to embrace the unknown, for a change in something means something new or fresh. And we need to learn new tricks every time to move along with the time. Let us keep our mind alive so that we can conquer the unknown!
