Will he really marry me?

There was this handsome hunk in my old office, one day he said in front of everyone that he has decided to get married, so when everyone asked him who is he going to marry, he said my name......I was so zapped! and i was like, u didn't even ask if i want to marry you! And he was like whats there to ask, i will pick u up and take u away and marry u! all that was like a joke! (we live in india btw) And I started thinking, how and why did that thought come in his mind? We have nothing in common, not one thing...in fact, we both 'cannot' marry, being from different castes and religions and lifestyles and our personalities are so different too....me being an introvert and he is very outgoing and social, etc.... Today after 2 years, when we were chatting, he brought the subject up again! and i was like u remember that joke? and he said yes! Now i'm wondering whether he really thought of marrying me or he is jus playing the fool with me? If he wanted to really marry me, he would have done so long back, fearing that i may get married to somebody else! And if he doesn't want to marry me, why bring the subject up? is he not afraid that i will call him a cheat if he doesn't marry me! What do u think of all this?
