The search for an Elixer of Life.

Some people have been talking about it. The wish for eternal youth itself seems eternal. Many modern men and women imagine that they can stay young by following some special regimen of diet and exercise or by submitting themselves to injections of mysterious substances. The Readers Digest "ABCs of the Human Body" says, sadly, there is no elixer of life. That few people live beyond 85, and heredity seems to decree and outside limit of 115. Survival beyond that age has not been documented.
Have you known or heard of people living beyond the age of 115?

Yes, there have been a few cases of people living beyond 115 but it would be hard to prove.
Man will continue to search for ways to prolong life and health but we are probably doomed to failure. However the Bible has much to say about everlasting life.

I have read about a man in Ecuador who was over 160 years and he was still working with cultivating food and walking a long way to the field. He lived in an extremely healthy environment, in the Andes and in a climate that is very pleasant.
The water he drank was full of healthy minerals. In that climate the vegetables grow wild, so people don´t need to cultivate everything.
I don´t know how much documentation there was about his age, but he told that he had been one of the workers on a church construction at age 16. And the age of the church is probably known.
I guess we can find a great deal about these old aged people in Equador if we search the net.
Interesting discussion..

I believe that living in a healthy environment with all these healthy foods and water can be the reason why people live that long. As we can see that nowadays that several of the main reasons why peoples' health deteriorates is because of the kind of food we eat and the environment. I am so glad that you found it interesting. Have a nice day too.

Fountain of youth in Florida is just a barber's tale and until now NO one can prove the existence of fountain of youth.

one guy lived to he was 120, ill and crazy. there is no way for unlimited life, convert to god and christ, if none exists, like hindu where the right religion you'll have another life on earth where you can pick religon but thats not gonna happen. belive and you don't have to burn in hell. (don't mistake me for some fanatic old man in a retirementhome, i just don't have the heart to let the unknowing burn in hell). just belive, there is nothing to lose.
