Its all in the mind

yup. I believe this statement is very true. Since I graduated from college 2 years ago and work with my current company, I started smoking mainly because everyone of my co-workers do it. But since I got promoted just 5 months ago (yey lol) I suddenly stopped smoking. Why? because I dont feel comfortable when talking or being close to my employees with smoke on my clothes or breath and its not about health issues aswell. So with that on my mind whenever Im at work i never light a cigarette on my mouth But I STILL smoke during day off's though or after work.hehe

Hi there. Yep. I used to smoke because I was curious about it in college. A good number of people I knew in the dormitory smoked, and I wondered what it was like. A crush taught me how to "properly" smoke and from there it was an on-again, off-again habit. Eventually, though, I quit the habit because I'm a Christian, and smoking isn't tolerated in most Christian communities. Also, my body was feeling the ill effects of smoking. Today, I still get tempted to do so, but it's a day by day refusal to give in to the habit. Plus, I've been sickly of late, so adding to the toll on my health isn't something I'd be willing to do. Good luck quitting for good!

well, it's strange to know that people do a few things just because OTHERS DO.! Just to fit into our friends' or co-workers' group we tend to do things that we would have not preferred to do otherwise. Anyway, it's good you are not addicted to it. And the reason for your stopping it is even more funny:) may you keep getting promoted hehe:D

Yeah maybe it's only in the mind but I think it's also depend on the person. Some really got addicted and some don't. I personally tried to smoke but I didn't got addicted to it. I even smoked when i was at work when I was working in casino because the players smoke and I didn't want to be the second hand smoker. I did smoke for many days but still I didn't got addicted to it. I didn't crave for it. My friends smoke and even we were together but still I don't care if I don't smoke with them. It's not really my style and my passion.

You can quit smoking if you are enough determined by using your willpower to do it. You need to discipline your thoughts and yourself to accomplish your set goals. It is good that you do not smoke with your employees. Have a wonderful day! Happy mylotting!

I agree with you too. My in laws are also both smoking and without medication or medication CD's used, they completely stopped smoking in just a week or two. They also said that it starts in the mind. When you tell your mind you don't want to smoke anymore because you care for your health and you want to stay healthy for the people you love, then you can stop smoking. You cannot stop because people want you or tell you to stop... You will stop because you want it for yourself and you already stopped it in your mind.

I believe it is true that when you set your mind on it, you can accomplish what you aim to accomplish. The mind can control the body. It can recover from illnesses if it's possitively charged. It can also destroy the body with negativities. Smoking is just a vice and can easily be eliminated. It is not a natural need by the body. Unlike eating, exercises and drinking water, smoking is not an essential for the health of the person. Keep it up and hope you'll totally eliminate it. Have a nice day.

hello, Well, it is good for you because you know how the feeling of others when they smell your breath or see it in your clothes (no offense here) . I think you really do a good start to stop your vices which is smoking because it is not good for your health. But as what you have said you are not concern in your health only to your employees. Alright? if that's what you wanted.

I so much believe in this because it's usually just a matter of choice whether we'll do it or not do it. Everything we do requires thinking but it's just the urge that we can't fight most of the time that we give in. I haven't tried smoking even once and I'm glad that you've already managed to control yourself. Usually, we just need some drive to be able to do it. I see that you are really very professional and I'm happy to hear about your promotion. I hope I could get one soon. Keep it up.
