Taking a cue from their cross city rivals Man City, Manchester United just went a few beating a hapless Arsenal team 8-2. It was really a spineless display by Arsenal and they were lucky that the Man U just put 8 against them. It could have been much worse. Arsenal also missed one penalty and had one player sent off for two yellow cards. That is the third sending off in third straight game for Arsenal. It was really a testimony of how much Arsenal have fallen behind in the title race already.
Rooney capped the Man U performance with a hat-trick.
Cheers!

The decline of Arsenal football club started even before Henry left. The key decision for me was the selling of their captain Patrick Viera. Arsene Wenger has not been able to get a correct leader on the pitch ever since. And the last trophy Arsenal won was under Viera, six years ago!!
Cheers!

I guess the fans of Arsenal felt very bad during and after this game, but this things happen from time to time. United has the same team for years now, and Arsenal is in a period of transition, and that is why the results are not so good at the moment. But I wouldn't rule them out yet, there is a lot of time to improve and a lot of time to get worse. Usually, a team who plays to good at the start of the season, has some difficulties during the season, just look at Chelsea last season, when they started on fire and then they had a breakdown.

Actually even United is a team that is rebuilding. They have a new goalkeeper in De Gea. Players like Young, Cleverley and Smalling are all in their first season with United. So it is also a quite a new team, but the fighting spirit and never say die attitude is what sets them apart.
Cheers!

Apart from Per Mertesacker, he signed in Andre Santos in the defense as a wing back. He also signed in Mikel Arteta from Everton to replace Nasri. Overall, it looks like decent transfer business, but we need to wait to see if these can really fill the holes in the Arsenal backline.
Cheers!

I am not so aware of the new players, as I don't really follow the EPL. But I guess you know better, I guess you have seen the game, and you can make a clearer opinion. Arsenal must have had a really black day, but like I said, it is only a game. I have heard that Wenger is planning to spend some money and that Per Mertesacker is on his way to London. I am curious to see who else is going to be signed.

When I saw the result at the end of this game I was totally baffled! That's an amazing result and I don't think I have ever witnessed anything like that in the game of football. That will probably go down in the history books. That is one game that you can honestly say that the fans definitely got their money's worth! I'm not keen on football really and I prefer cycling but when a huge event like that takes place I suppose everyone becomes interested. Andrew

I think if RVP would have scored the penalty it would have been a different outcome. I don't know why he went left, every goalkeeper knows where he goes now. That penalty could have left the game tied at 1-1 and given Man Utd more competition. Only a minute or so after the missed penalty Young scored.

Yes, the Arsenal fan in me is really hurting. But the show put on Sunday was so shoddy that I can't even pity them. It was simply poor poor defending. I think any other club side could have dealt an equally damaging scoreline with yesterday's defending from Arsenal!!
Cheers!

Tonight is the message from the city of Manchester that the two teams manchester city having a party ...City and United had a party....party make many goals..Party and show maybe only city and united are strong candidate for winner EPL
And the victims were two cities of London ...Oh My God
disappointing results for arsenal who were slaughtered by Manchester United and Spurs are also experiencing a bad night to play football due to be taught a lesson by City
what's wrong with Arsenal?
what's with mental arsenal of young players?
why there is always a red card for players in every game arsenal game?
wenger, wake up....
wake up

It is ironical that the two Manchester teams decided to make a example out of two London clubs. It was real thrashing in both the cases. And both Arsenal and Tottenham might have to do a lot of soul searching after yesterday's results.
What's wrong with Arsenal? For starters they have had a mass exodus and have hardly any cover for such influential players such as Fabregas and Nasri. Both these people left Arsenal and played pivotal roles in their first match for a bigger club at this moment.
The red cards though are the surprise. Three in three is not acceptable. Either the players are naive or are obviously frustrated!!
Cheers!

This is going to be on of the most amazing and closely contested seasons in modern history if you ask me. United and City will calm down a little but they have dealt serious damage to Arsenal and the like who are going to attempt a top 4 finish. We also have some new teams showing no respect for the big boys and proving to be a thorn in the side of many. I for one and super excited to see how this all ends.
And to top it off Liverpool have started a season by winning some games.

I think the blow that yesterday's results dealt to Arsenal and Tottenham probably already took them out of the equation of the Premier League title. It was a thrashing and it would have a moral effect. I think this season is all about the two clubs from Manchester, Liverpool and Chelsea already.
But the fact that they are already out of title contention might work well for Arsenal as they can play without any real pressure!!
Cheers!
