I'm sorry to say that another kitten has passed away. Sassy, the runt left this world sometime while I was at work. Mama cat is sad, and so am I. I buried Sassy today, and I'm very sad about it. I know she's in a better place, but this makes me wish that I could afford pet insurance, and that my local vet and vet hospitals were open on weekends.
Chance and Cye are doing well though, so far. If they survive, I'd like to find some good homes for them. Homes that can afford the proper care, particularly regarding their hind legs.
Here's to hoping for the best to come.

Awe so sad. Over the summer I stayed in North Carolina on the outer banks and there are many island cats there. Some get hit by cars when they cross the road. But there is a husband and wife who take care of the cats and get them their shots and fixed. I ended up adopting one of the cats and he is very happy in my home. i hope you are able to help the kittens.

It is sad when so many cats are abandoned. I'm glad the husband and wife were able to get the cats spayed and neutered. That's one thing I'm working on doing. I ended up rescuing a few strays that need neutered, plus my two females need spayed as quickly as possible. Hoping to do it soon. I don't want to run the risk of more kittens. :(

Thank you, Koperty3. So far the other two seem to be well, and Cye's eyes seem to be producing less and less mucous. He's starting to open them up a bit more now. It's a matter of working with him and keeping them clean. Still, I feel a tad nervous for both of them.

Sorry you lost another kitten.
I got my almost siamese because his litter and momma were abandoned.
They put them in a box and taped it and stuck it on a major road where I live.
Fortunately the groomer of our Vet saw the box. She thought she would move the box out of the middle of the street.
When she got there she started to pick it up and realized how heavy it was and heard the meowing.
Sad what people do today.
But I have Tink from the litter.
They were all really sick and he had to stay at the vets office for almost 3 1/2 months. I really thought we would have to put him under.
But Doc kept trying and Tink must of had the will to want to come home with me!
He is my lap kitty for sure.

Thank you, marie2052. I'm glad your vet's groomer was able to rescue the kittens from off the yard. People who do that to animals make me sick. I admit I have many, half of them were strays, but I'd never abandoned them in an unknown area. I'd never abuse them or starve them, or do anything to hurt them.
Right now, I am in the position of trying to figure out how to get some cats up to a no kill shelter an hour's drive. I have one pet carrier for now, and will need to buy more. Although I still may have to take multiple trips. It's simply frustrating.
I'm glad Tink is doing well, and that he has a loving home with you.
